Hi, I was just wondering, how is that no duplicate content policy works out for lyrics sites. I have seen almost all of them are using adsense and everyone has the same content. any ideas ?
The truth is you can use anything you want, on your adsense sites, duplicate content, unique content, videos, images and curated content, or even a combination of all, or some. What you will have to remember is that if you are using duplicate content, you will not get any traffic or much traffic from Google, so you will have to promote your sites differently. There are tons of ways to promote your site and get traffic without Search Engines and get tone of traffic such as press release, document sharing sites videos and so on...
sources / references are important for duplicate contents. If you are showing sources of any duplicate content to original content then there will be no problem at all.
The lyrics often take up only a small part of the page and the rest of the design etc is unique. If the duplication only occurs on a small part of the page, say 30% duplicate. It will probably get away with it.
sometimes there is nothing you can do to avoid duplicate content so it is ok. Like sports stats, news, lyrics etc.. If you are going to do a lyrics site and are worried about duplicate content, do it as an image. I have a facebook cover photo site that has the same instruction on every page about how to add it to your profile so I made an image of the text to avoid duplicate content penalty. I know you can't do that with every niche/site, just something for you to consider.
NO such thing as a duplicate content PENALTY...or an adsense duplicate content policy.. Your site is only penalized if its WORTHLESS.... I have a site with adsense that has NO content on it at all and I average $X,XXX a month with it. Shit, I was even approved by adsense with that site... Things have changed alot since then, but there's NO such policy or penalty when it comes to the so-called DUPLICATE content... Holler atchya boy!
lol I see you say your site has no content but it has to have some rather it be images or whatever (photo blog, FB cover photos, etc) there has to be some kind of content. Can't just be a website with a blank template and no post. Now as far as TEXT content i believe you if you say it has no text content.

Well, adsense is strict against the duplicate content but yes the sites are there..... They generates less income and it is very hard for those site to be on top of google.. Even i have seen some websites with free download content using adsense, and some poker sites using the adsense... I thought they will get banned soon, But they are earning good amount of money using the Iframe for adsense ads.. I can share the url of few sites....
Google AdSense is paid advertisement and paid advertisement not depend on quality content. There are shows that result which have highest bid.
if you used duplicate content on your site then the chances to get traffic from Google are lower than if you used original content.
