 Let me get this right. They are the largest, most relevant, most used, most loved search engine in the world yet they aren't the best. Have you seen your doctor lately? Better get a check-up.

I think there will be an all together new type of online advertising which will come out of no where and dominate every thing else and that will be something which both a publisher and advertiser can trust and with no room for frauds (may be a little).

So shall we start working or wait for some one else to do it?

No offense to Shawn as I have high respect for him and think he is very knowledgeable but don't think he has what it takes to make a search engine that would beat Google. It would take more money than he gots just to get peeple as smart as Larry and Sergey in the SE field.

No just honest. You point out the search engine that is the best then....

It appears that way to many people yet Live still has a long way to go yet before beating Google. They have come along way but Google is advancing as they advance so they still got alot to work on.

Me - I prefer Yahoo! - it is the best for the type of searches I do. And apparently Google is the best for your searches. I guess there is no reason to bicker over a matter of taste.

What kind of searches do you do? Are you researching spam? I hear some people say this and I know that behind it all lies a hate for google. They don't use yahoo because it is 'better for my searches' because there is no such thing as yahoo being better than google in anything.

I even heard one loco say that he had to goto ask before he found the results he wanted. It was a three bears story. Google was too spammy, MSN was better but still not good, yahoo was pretty good but ask beat all. In a story like that you know it is a bunch of bull.

If someone said hey I use MSN because I want to support it for the changes it is making I could accept that but yahoo has gone nowhere in the last 5 years. When do you expect it to start moving forward?

I don't know how long you were in the US military, but I spent several years defending your right to say that I don't like "...the USA..."

By the way - isn't Yahoo! a US company also?

What I was referring to is the crowd that hates anything that is the biggest. The USA is one of those that is hated. I am an American and am very proud of that fact. My military service is besides the point.

Google will stay a major player for a long time regardless of who is on top, simply because of its VERY loyal fan base. What never ceases to amaze me is how some people almost take it personally when someone has a different point of view with regards to google. And that will ensure they have a stake for a long time.

    That's what I mean.
