Remember at the end of september, the yahoo/bing press release about the new adsense competitor opening, coming back from the grave, this time in full force with a partnership with media.net, etc, etc.. ? Well I sent an application by that time and first stupid thing, I then get the information that media.net will review my application and that things will start from the 15th october.. OK, so why make a press release for nothing then? And now we are 25th october and still nothing, no fuck, no shit, no thank you, nothing at all from media.net So Media.net sucks and so does yahoo/bing and if they think they can become adsense competitor that way they dream... poor losers!
So you expect them just to review your application right away? They're restarting it, it will take time
Well, they announced at the end of september, I applied, then they stated it will start on 15th october. Now we are nearly a month from the announcement and I got nothing, no denial, no approval. Plus do you see ANY threads about first feedback anywhere? So, this is handled badly.. As was expected honestly from the past experience with yahoo and from the bad comments about media.net (just look around and you'll find comments about it) But of course we should be so forgiving and understanding of the way they handle this worldwide announcement, because... because what exactly?
I haven't applied, 'cos I am somehow OK with adsense, and more into affiliates, but I have also read several bad comments about media.net. Have no idea why would yahoo partner with them at all...even if these bad comments/experiences are not true...
Yes I would have thought they would rather partner with chitika since when they closed their YPN they emailed publishers and told them to go there.. At least it would have improved chitika's CPC But what is clear is yahoo nor microsoft/bing don't want to have anything to do with small publishers..
Few days ago I received an email from them that my account have been migrated to the Yahoo/Bing Network Contextual Ads Program... blah blah blah I think they are in process to migrate existing customers first and then new sign-ups.
Look at my revenue from media.net at this thread http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=2583491
Actually There is some upgrade comming soon from yahoo to bring themself closer to Adsense . stick to see those.
Been using media.net for a little while. So far so good and another income stream which doesn't hurt. Be interesting to see how they develop.
sure, the first one to reach the top wins the prize, everyone else is just a copy.... no matter what yahoo does, they will always just be a copy.... The govt needs to break up the google monopoly just like any other company trying to take over the world....
The people I see doing well with them are the ones that have lots of visitors each day & not just a few thousands (5k or less).
Actually i have joined with them. and make test with their networks.. I dont know, but i thought they need to improve their advertiser.. I have talk like this because as i can see there are low various ads display on their network.
I have the answer why Publisher getting zero revenue with Media.net! Last week I email them: ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Would you check algorithm in your publisher commission software, are your cheating? Sorry for ask this, I ask this because I got Zero revenue in 3 weeks with 700 imp/day and 1200 unique visitors/day. My USA traffic about 30%. Thanks ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Then I got the answer from Trusha G (Media.net): ------------------------------------------------------------------------- I understand your concern. On an average it takes our system somewhere around 3 to 4 weeks to understand the traffic, content, visitor's intent, etc. At times it might take even more time depending on the vertical, site, impressions, and other factors. As I currently see, the impressions are too less for our system to run any test. It would be great if our ads could receive some exposure on your site. Regards, Trusha ------------------------------------------------------------------------- So, I think the answer is "PUBLISHER NEED TO LET MEDIA.NET ADS STAY FOR 3-4 WEEKS BEFORE MEDIA.NET ALGORITHM RECOGNIZE YOUR WEBSITE. YOU MUST PATIENT FOR 3/4 WEEKS WITHOUT ANY REVENUE BUT THEN YOUR EARNING SLOWLY WILL BE NORMAL, TRUST ME THIS METHOD WORKS!!"
