Is the twitter helpful?

Here, I am wanted to ask is the twitter helpful to increase the traffic on website and revenue for business?

 

I think not. It's for personal promotion. If you think differently, please show examples!

 

Yes Twitter anf Facebook is very important for increase the website traffic and revenue also. But if you have more network. More network give more traffic.

 

It's defiantly helpful. I have 165,000 followers, and I get thousands of hits.

 

It really depends on how you use it. If you have a list of dummy followers and just blast them with your links every freaking minute, then no, it won't work.
If you have an authority, if you deliver actual value, have a list of loyal followers who want to hear from you, then yes, Twitter is great for some promotion.

 

getting followers is a tedious one in twitter than the getting facebook fans.

 

You must be a celebrity. Having so much followers is a dream for many.

 

Twitter help get traffic. As long as your content is consistent and your tweets are relevant ... you can see a consistent amount of traffic daily. It will take you a while to build a targeted following, but worth it to me.

I think it depends from a region to another. For exemple in my country people don't us it. So if it is a local busines, the answer is no.

 

In most of the countries people use facebook, myspace and orkut. I think US only use twitter more than other countries. It seems to be hard to have followers in twitter than facebook. Facebook and twitter both generate business links. But more people go through facebook. This is my opinion.

 

Definitely Twitter is great marketing tool for your business or for personal. I just notice a person says that if we want to shine on Twitter we must be a celebrity. I cannot agree with this comments because i am not a celebrity but i follow one i received more than two followers. The ratio is good..................................

Conversion could be low in the case of Twitter but it is an ideal tool for spreading and get reputation in a niche.
