    Content is not just an article. Content refers to anything you post/publish on your site, from a set of images to a cartoon strip or a video. You can post any of these things.

    You could create lists of facts/figures related to your industry. You could do a FAQ page. Offer some how-to advice to solve common issues within your industry. Showcase a problem a client has presented to you and the steps you took to solve it. You could do a glossary of sorts to define words/terms associated with your industry that clients might not be familiar with. You could do product/service comparison charts. The possibilities are endless, really.

    I am also agree with affilorama Fresh and unique content is the most important part of Content. You can put all your fresh content in Press Release Submission and Article.

    Really Hard to Answer.

    For sites running business, no content updation opportunities available. And when you don't want to run a blog for the site its somewhat seems difficult.

    Some of my suggestions are :

    1. User Featured info box on home page of the site. (keep updating or changing)
    2. Have a news section (where you can share fresh new information about company, business, community etc.)
    3. Use a Facebook Post Widget.
    4. Use Twitter Post Widget.

    Such kind of actions can keep your webpages alive and updating.

    General catchall directories are generally worthless
