Well, the following are some stuff I think will work well for 2013 if we were to do it with high quality and in high quantity. 1) good site linking - links from one post to another older post and vice versa 2) social bookmarking 3) social media marketing 4) backlinks from sites like YouTube
oh yes, of course, i accidentally left out one important point. having backlinks from other blogs will definitely help in SEO, it is all about web2.0 transiting to web3.0, where there should be proper connections and sharing and actual benefits from your website. If your website has good quality content/help/advice along with proper social media marketing channels, i m sure you just need to hang on abit more to see massively cool results
There are 6 signals for SEO in 2013. 1. Content 2. Social 3. More Quality Content 4. More Social 5. Even more quality content 6. Even more use of Social Networks Now links... .... errrr.... Social links will play a vital role.
In my view Google will be strict enough and every thing will be made paid so that quality is maintained and spamming is avoided.

Hahaha, that is awesome. Yes just fly with "Matt Cutts". But, on the important matter, everything your doing now with SEO shouldnt matter, unless your doing the wrong things for it. My question to you are, what are the methods your applying. Ex: Article marketing looks frowned upon by google, but yet people support it.
For me content is the king no matter there are new google updates there's no way to be afraid of, if you stick to relevance in creating your links and creating it to the good neigborhood, give informative inforamtions to your links and to your content, then their would would be no problem at all, rememer if your a user when you are on the the net you search for inforamtions relevant to your keywords so if you will have results that is irrelevant then difinitely you will get frustrated and angry and will difinitely leave the page.
