Again, PR is not the thing that you need to worry about. Sure thing, you may use it when you're trying to sell a link to your potential link buyer. And that's about it. Many well-known and internationally acknowledged SEO professionals such as Gillian Muessig says that PR influences ONLY how often your site is being crawled. And that's about it.

 

Build High PR backlinks on home page to get page rank very quickly.

 

Its also a good way to lose it just as quickly.

 

Can anyone please share examples/logic in favor or against the correlation between Page Rank & Google SERP..

This is happening to all... I am surprised to find some of the major sites also losing PR.

One of my very cool sites with plenty of authority backlinks and editorial links dipped to PR 3. Too bad... I don't even understand why Google did this to it. Since most backlinks were fully natural, not a single swapped or bought links. Plenty of original content and tons of visitors. Bounce rate good as well etc. etc.

Then came the SERPs crash afterwards... another disappointment. Now I'm back to optimizing and improving.

Sometimes the best sites get hit and we don't even know why...

 

Nothing tremendous with me, but no loss at all.

 

PR is only a factor when it comes to the juice of the links you are making

 

I think we will not get update till 2013.

 

Google will often changes, if our strength is not enough, we will be eliminated.

 

Today PR has been updated for few of my sites some went down from PR6 - PR5 and some went up.

 

use google or hire some one to do it for you

 

Not too worried about PR. I mean sure I care but not like its 2008 or so. Cause I seen PR 0s on page 1 above other HI prs. but usually its cause it didnt get updated yet. So I would keep on doing what was working. but also try to get social signals. I had gotten hit by that EMD update awhile back but its climing back up. But Im doing to try a new method of ranking sites. One where I dont focus on typical seo stuff anymore at the rate its going.

 

No change in PR yet . Still my site is in PR3.

Page rank is not an important aspect of SEO .The quality of relevant links is.


If you have changed your URL's then search engines will see them as new pages and you will have lost any link juice that your old pages may have enjoyed.

 

As Google say themselves PR is just one of 200 signals which influence your position and PR is not the most important one.... So the question arises what is important? Any thoughts?
