I'm trying to create a facebook ad, but when I click on the "Review Ad" button I get a

    ----

Please give a message text for your ad.

    ----

and I'm stuck on the screen, I can't get to the next page.

I can't figure out where to leave the "message text" for the ad. Any ideas?

    Thanks

To begin with, when creating a facebook ad, first thing you do is to enter your site or landing page URL.
Having done this, Facebook fetches your site TITLE as the HEADER or TITLE for your AD, and the first body text from your website or landing page as the MESSAGE TEXT.

This is where you can edit the message text. Simply replace what Facebook got by default, with what your message text is, then go on to select other paramenters such as the country, age bracket where your ad should run, PPC settings, name of ad, duration, etc, before proceeding to the REVIEW AD page.

    Hope this helps.

Yeah that's the first thing I did was to enter the URL of the landing page it's a direct link using Prosper202 (yes it is working). I also created the title and description for the ad. I've filled out all the required fields and left the optional fields blank, but it won't let me proceed to the next page. That's the puzzling part. I opened a ticket and waited there for several hours waiting to submit the ad, but I guess tech help doesn't work overnight.

I watched 2 videos explaining the method, but it just won't go to the next page. I'm still awaiting a reply from the ticket.

    Thanks

It appears that you didn't write anything on the text box below the Headline and Image.
It is required to write some copy or short description on the text as you set up the ads. Then, confirm your URL.
This usually occurs right after you chose from any of the options to advertise.
You will see the ad preview on the right side as you edit your ad campaign before it goes live.
For other ad campaigns, such as driving Likes to your page, you may not have to write additional copy on the text.

We get much better results with Google and Microsoft adcenter ads. Facebook is expensive and we don't see as many buyers. Be sure to track your results from these Facebook Ads.

    I got it now :)

I did have a headline and description, that was what was confusing me. I was pasting in the text and it wasn't registering/displaying in the preview box. Apparently it needs to be typed, as soon as I typed it in it started to display and I could get to the next page (Review Page).

    Thanks

From what I understand it depends on the niche, and you have to use the advanced targeting (and quantcast). And the suggested bids are inflated. I guess I'll find out.

    Thanks

Face book is good social media. If you want to advertise on facebook, it is very simple, just follow instruction.

I've gotten better at face book ads. My last one had a click through rate over 2%. First make sure you have a facebook page. 2nd your ad has to be something that is likable. That is something possibly in the news or your industry that is really cool that will make people want to click it, comment on it, and share it (probably best to put part of the article on your own site linking back to the original with a good sized image relating to the article).

Post the link to the article (or upload the image with a link to the article) on your facebook page. Run your ad as a "A specific post on *your facebook page name*". Good images do seem to get more clicks.

Narrow down your ad to the people that will matter the most, if you have an offline business make sure you have you ad directed to just that area, and in the age range you think would be the most likely to click, narrow it down to anything else you can think of.

I'm sure others will have more knowledge.
