I have had his host shut down his sites: www.dapostman.com and www.postmanmedia.com

I have emailed him, PMed him, instant messaged him, called him (15-20 times each time I am hung up on) so that isnt a viable option.

He lives in MD and I live in Wisconsin, the costs of hiring an attorney or going to small claims court would be well over the 1,000$ worth of copyrighted material he ripped me off of. A plane ticket alone is 500$ plus legal fees and missed work time. You can see how this option really isnt cost effective.

To top that off I have another member that I hired to code two PSD's. He sent one of the files but not the other file. The hundred attempts I have made through email and PM to contact him to get the other half of the project havent worked - he ignores my contact attempts. He still hasnt sent the content page files I paid for in full. IS THERE ANYONE IN THIS F****** FORUM THAT IS HONEST? - THIS CHILDISH/ DISHONEST SH** IS GETTING OLD. I wont mention the guys name on here just yet as I still hope this is all one big mixup, but facts are piling up leading me to belive otherwise! Its seriously getting old, just do the work you say you are going to do and for once DELIVER!

I may be forced once again to file a grievance with paypal...

I believe you mentioned at least 5 of his possible names he was using.

I know how you feel, I've been scammed a few times myself and it really makes you angry. Based on the evidence you showed, I'm almost positive that this guy scammed you and tried to run away. Keep tracking him and maybe you'll get your money back.

You do not have to hire an attorney to file a police report. Its really simple they just ask you few questions and you answer and then request charges against that person thats it. Police most of the time do not do anything but it does get in their record so if he ever have any problem with local police he might be charged for this too ( I am just assuming that he will be charged but i know 100% for sure that they do put that in that persons record ) I know almost every sheriff of our county and i have been told that by everyone. Do it over the phone, here in Texas they charge $5 for on the phone police report and its free in the office i am not sure about your state but it should be same.

I must say that you are stupid  then. If scammers can get you down so easily. Do some due diligence before hiring someone and remember if it sounds too good to be true it probably is. Why wouldnt you mention scammers name, you know by doing that you are supporting them. You know what your story is getting old now i dont know but are you doing this just to get attention

Thanks very much for the heads up, and I do sincerely hope you get your money back. Nothing annoys me more than morons who feel the need to scam money from hardworking individuals and even companies. I too have once been in your position, and have felt the sting of lying, cheating people. I'd suggest that if worst comes to worst you'd have atleast gained some knowledge from this eh? Good luck with getting your money back. :)

The only way to prevent this is to make sure the person doing the work sends files or services before you pay...however some/most (quality people) wont do the work before you pay - its a catch 22...

You are going to get some reds for being a douche bag.... please leave the thread - you are annoying...how about you read what I wrote first of all then remove your head from your sphinctor and start typing...

1)The montel guy had a website, name and address phone number - he looked reputable.

    2) I did mention his name -Montel Branch AKA MONTEL

    3) The story isnt old and its not only my story -as far as I can tell there are 4-5 others that have been scammed by him VERY RECENTLY.

    4) Im not doing it for attention, Im doing it to bring this to the attention of the forum/community - STFU

    5) Do you seriously think I care about "reds" - I just got scammed 1k and you truly believe I care about my forum rep points...get a life.

    6) I know how to file a F***** police report- my dad is a cop for god sake.

    7) The kid (montel) is likely under 18 and probably close to broke anyway - given the fact that he only uses the internet at his highschool.... therefore filing a police report against a minor living 500 miles away will do "dick"

    8) The opportunity cost of going through any of the aforementioned processes is terrible. (even if i get a monetary settlement for what was stolen I will have lost money from missed work etc)

    9) Shoemoney, you and the admins are so pathetic here that you have turned this around on me... I got negative points last week for "harassment" of montel - give me a break (not that I care, just proving a point of how ridiculous this is)
Furthermore, I present my case to digitalpoint admin and they dont even kick the scam artist off the forum - what a joke. If I cant even get that BAS**** kicked off digital point what do you think will happen with other venues....

    10) You, shoemoney and even the admins have served no no helpful purpose....

What I really can't believe is you posted the person's phone number here. To me it seems like to much of a vendetta against the guy. Is what he scammed from you really worth all the trouble..Buyer Beware.

I had pretty much the same problem with Montel.

I paid him $40 on Nov 12th. Got a lot of runaround crap. Asked for a refund. Still waiting...

Wow amazing - all these people get ripped off by him - the same old story and you guys (2-3 members) are turning this around on me...im one of the victims. I cant believe you all are standing up for some punk that goes around ripping people off in your forum. What a joke...

As for a vendetta - hell yes its a vendetta, what a brilliant observation - the punk is screwing people over right in front of your eyes and you dont even care. Havent you ever heard of justice? Oh and The kids phone number was posted on his website before I had his host cancel him...its public information (his choice) and I hope all that have been screwed over dial him up and file police reports and or lawsuits. In case you missed the phone number its - 301-204-9569 - please call him and demand your money back!

its likely that you wont get one - you can kiss it goodbye...

Hope this clown gets banned from this community...

This brings the scam victims list to about 5-7 people now...

Oh and btw ViciousSummer you are likely to get an email soon stating that "my internet was out or disconnected, please send me 60$ to fix the conection - once I get it fixed I will send the files and refund your 60$...??"

    -please dont send the 60$

We'll see, no need to jump the gun. He has conducted some postitive transactions here, so perhaps it's just a misfortunate circumstance.

Calling, emailing and IMing numerous times a day could easily be seen as harassment. Even if you do feel that you have been scammed, you have to follow the proper channels or else you are simply ranting and raving, which is not going to get you any where.

F&*% .. count me in to the people he ripped off list, I sent him $30 for a flash myspace layout and I still have yet to receive the flash file, but he did send the image and code. However, on a surprising note I paid him like $20 earlier I believe to do some flash intro editing and he did the job and promptly. I don't know whats going on with this guy.
