Do you have thousands? How do you go about tracking stuff on Azoogle? By keyword? Adgroup? How many sub id's can poor old Azoogle cope with? Jon
I have collected over a million (i guess) over the last months, unique subids... I guess they can take some ;o)
Really? That is way more than I thought people would be using! Are you tracking at the keyword level? What do you do to analyse them. Put them in a spreadsheet or have you created your own Visual Basic tool?
Im going through this right now. I am framing the landing page but am having trouble tracking keywords after I have done this. Should I be making a seperate landing page for each keyword?
The trouble im having is: adwords -> <framed> landing page</framed> -> azoogle I cant pass the keyword variable into the framed page.
PHP isn't allowed on the site you are sending the traffic to from the advertisement, is that correct? And you need to send it there instead of directly to the landing page?
Rofl, on your own domain is everything allowed your hosting company allows. What has this to do with an iframe? lol
yeah, this guy's good he's laughing at us already. btw, if you want to track each keyword and you're using a custom landing page, you need to pass it to Azoogle by subid. That's what subids are for, no need to laugh at people using it.
yeah because there is a way to track every single keyword, conversions, etc without doing all this extra work
Aren't you going to tell us about it? Let's try to grow beyond just posting to make each other feel bad. My current view is that if you don't pass the keyword data along to Azoogle in the link, then the information doesn't make it to the conversion tracker at the end, so there couldn't be another way, unless it's possible to arrange for the user to be redirected back to a URL of your own design once the sale is complete? Even then you'd need to store that keyword data. Edit: Come to think of it, it's possible to accomplish quite alot with a custom conversion tracker, which your affiliate manager can install on the merchant side for you. But the idea is to take the data you have about keywords, on your server, send users through Azoogle which are not yet conversions, find out from another server whether the user converted and then associate the appropriate keyword data with it.
What's ALL this extra work man? It took me 20 mins to insert the script in all my 20 different sites and that's it, sure you can use analytics, ask your am to insert it on azoogle side. But i'm always a bit paranoid with analytics, call me crazy i just don't want them to know so much about my business. I still have minimum bids of $0.02-0.06 You can A: ask your AM at azoogle to insert trackingcode into the landingpages on Azoogle side. Or B: Get yourself an ppc management solution that tracks keywords etc. but this one starts at around $250/month so you would better already earn some money =) Or C: Build some custom solution to insert the keywords as subids. Either way, tracking on keywordlevel isn't right or wrong, it's much more work that's true but it can pay off... On the other hand you can just track campaigns, not that much work, but you spare time for other campaigns with what you can earn money. Go figure
You are not very smart or mature apparently. The data in reporting only goes as far as Azoogle's system. You can create landing pages for certain keywords, but without a sub id, you will never know if they convert. The offer doesn't redirect to a landing page of yours, so putting conversion code in a "thank you" page wouldn't be possible.
I think he means the solution that an azoogle manager inserts the tracking code in the landingpage, not to build one for each key. But still it's not very flexible since you can't change merchants as you would like, you always have to ask your am first etc. And he is the one flamed shoemoney and others all the time 8 weeks ago because no one handed him an exact plan to success only gave him good tips, he was really pissed and now he posts stuff like this but tells other's an shit how they could do it, and that is hillarious.
I don't think azoogle will do what you're talking about for just anybody. This isn't viable for any smaller affiliates, unless there is something I'm not aware of. They will probably tell you to use sub id's since that is their purpose. Yeah, I get tired of these people acting like they know everything about something they probably haven't had experience with more than a couple months. Just a way to boost themselves up I guess. Quite stupid IMO.
