You can take the backup of your whole account which can be restored on the server of your webhost provided your new webhost also have cPanel control panel. Your current webhost should help you with the account backup and the new webhost with the account/backup restoration,.
I don't know if this will help, or be too technical, but, in actual practice, I have found that there is only, like, three things needed to clone a site. 1) copy the site files (FTP), 2) export the database in a .SQL format and in notepad find and replace the original domain name and blog title (shouldn't be needed in a same domain migration), 3) Once you have created the new SQL database (or identify the one that was created for you if you used Fantastico or something, WP is primarily mySQL driven), go into wp_config file and change the db name and password. There! Done. The rest is tweaking and polishing, but very little probably needed, especially if you are just migrating and not creating a new blog. Good Luck and Have Fun! Oops, didn't explicitly state to import the .SQL file into the new database. But, of course, you would have to. In fact, in the case of a migration you would not have to even tweak the wp_config file, if the new WP was created for you. So, really... 1) create new WP blog on new site with Fantastico or Simple Scripts (whatever), 2) copy over files (FTP), 3) export and import SQL (phpMySql) and the migration is done. I guess, cPanel is assumed.
thanks bros for the info !! I had found the backup option on cpanel and going to backup all the data. hope new webhost will help me out what to do next
Since it is Wordpress, you will also need to copy the database. There are some settings to change in Wordpress for the new site. You can use the duplicator plug-in found at http://wpmu.org/quickly-clone-and-migrate-wordpress-sites-with-the-duplicator-plugin/
If your new host and old host have cPanel control panel you can easily migrate to your web files to new host by asking your new host to do the migration. But some hosts do not give this facility for free. Or just download the public HTML folder and the database to your PC and restore that folder to your new host, then create a database using phpmyadmin and import the database. You need to edit the config.php file too. Contact your new hosting provider. They will help you to do these things.
All you have to do is get new hosting then simply change your nameservers on your domain to your new hosting and your DONE!!!
bro u much make data base backup and also home directory backup then upload home directory fron ftp on ur cpanel and backup on ur mysql php , and u done it
The site transfer is a very easy task for an experienced user, especially if you have a single site. The most hosting companies will be very happy to help you if you buy a hosting account from them. Open a support ticket at your new host and give them the cpanel login details of your old host. If you haven't purchased the new host yet, you better ask them via live chat if they can do the transfer for you. Good luck!
Your new host will be ready to help you with this and they'll take up most of the task. Just get in touch with them.
The question is, you sites are static or dynamic wordpress or something similar? For dynamic sites you should get a copy from the databases. There are many good web hosting that can get your hand to install your business.
