Paypal India : Unable to pay for hostgator.

    I have sufficient balance in my paypal account, but I still need to add a card. My SBI Debit Card is not being accepted by them. Can you please tell which debit cards are being accepted by them? Also, will the payment be through Credit/Debit card or through my account balance? Thanks

    I've heard that PayPal does not support India, but I may be wrong.

    Well I meant like, credit card wise. I've seen tons of people from India having tons of problems with it.

    There are always alternatives. I'm sure hostgator has a solution. Ask them.

    Indian paypal users only allowed to withdraw their paypal balance. If you want to send money to other non-indian paypal account holders then you need to add a valid CC for that.

    We need to add a valid CC for sending money, but is the payment also done through CC or from paypal balance (after adding CC). And can we send money from our bank account?

    Indian Paypal User can't use paypal balance for sending money. Its only for withdrawal.

    If you send money to someone else otherthen indian paypal account then payment done through CC only. Indian paypal account holder can't send money from his/her bank account as well.

    They have live chat support and Indian toll free number 1800-209-8833

    You can transfer your site from HostGator US servers to Indian servers. Then, pay your hosting bills using credit/debit card or net banking account. No PayPal account needed.

    Hostgator.in does not have good coupon/promo codes, and is a bit costly..

    But if you compare current rates, the Hostgator.in is cheaper if you have a baby plan which costs under Rs.500 if its on Indian site while it goes above Rs.500 if you pay via CC or Paypal on .com site.
