Yes affilorama is right. Most of them are low quality links. I also used these kind of software and got bad experience. I prefer you to do manually it will help a lot and improve your site ranking.

The dis-advantages are google will whip your ass! Since Panda google hates link spam and any website with these kind of dirty links will be pernalised. You need to focus on quality hand-made backlinks like Ardor backlinks
