Which Indian credit card support paypal?

Discussion in 'PayPal' started by kajol shafiq, Nov 17, 2012.

    Hi,
Can anybody tell me for sure which Indian credit cards support paypal? I don't want a vague answer like all Indian credit cards support paypal. For example, I posed this question to my local ICICI branch and they said categorically that I can't pay online through paypal because their credit card has no tie up with paypal! Is it the same with HDFC credit card? I want to know this from an Indian user who is presently using an Indian credit card to purchase softwares or tools, or anything else for that matter, from abroad and paying through paypal? Thanks in advance.

    The correct answer is:

How much bank manager know about Paypal, Moneybooker???????????????????????????

They don't about it. This is the real true.

If you want get payment only using your paypal, then you can use your debit card also which I am doing. you can ask the banker about it, Their reply will be same as you he told you. Because then know nothing about it. and credit card is needed only when you want pay some one in paypal. there is nothing about this categories

You should not ask the banker about it. You should ask about it who is using paypal.

I am from India also and I am also using PayPal without any credit card and I have taken hosting with C-Class IP using my debit card also not using credit card, If you ask the banker about it then he will reply you "this is not possible using debit card" OR like this.

    best of Luck.

    Hi karthimx,
Are you absolutely sure about it? I mean are you using an ICICI credit card yourself and making purchases online through paypal? I have heard that HDFC credit card is also good but the bank people hardly have any clue about it! I also have a second question for u and others. I have already verified my paypal account with my SBI savings bank account. Now if I get a credit card do I have to go through the verification process all over again before I could purchase anything online through paypal?

I don't think many bank managers will know about PayPal or MoneyBookers. But I will suggest you HSBC. Its good for PayPal and MoneyBookers.

Yes , you are right . Neither Lucknow nor Noida also. They don't know about this.

Any Indian Credit Card. May be ICICI or Axis or HDFC etc all works.

Any Indian bank issued credit card but it should be an International Credit Card...but you cannot add funds to PayPal balance using the credit card. When you make a payment using PayPal the credit card you have added will be charged.

And as mentioned by someone above you cannot use PayPal for domestic transactions to pay another Indian individual or Indian merchant.

Yes but it should be an International Credit Card ( Worldwide Acceptance )

SBI cc also requires Verified by VISA (VbV) / MasterCard SecureCode authentication.....if an international merchant has not implemented it then SBI will call you asking you to approve the transaction
