I like the logo too. I think a bit more color maybe. Its looking pretty bland.

 

Just take a look at your blog. I really like the design. I think that many people will remember your website after the their first look.

I have some comments on your website

1) Your anchor links style at the head of the page is creative. However, I think that you still need a top menu including the categories of your blog post. If not, when you make many posts on your blog, your blog will take long time when accessed.

2) Showing the full content of your blog posts on the first page is not the good idea I think. I recommend you just show the title and summary of the posts, because normally people will read the title and summary to decide if they keep reading all content of that blog post. Then If you show all full content of all blog posts on the first page, it makes people not comfortable when they read your blog.

Will you do paging on your homepage? I worry that when you have so many posts, you site will load slowly. Or you can make the scrolling style similar to facebook wall page. People will see the latest posts, they see more when they scroll to the end of the page. For the scrolling style, you still apply your anchor link style on the head of the page.

 

No I doubt the site will load slowly.. i rarely update the blog with new articles.. i just fill in more info on each article.

 

The dots made me dizzy lol. But other than that, pretty good job!

 

Read a few articles. The black and white jumps out especially the polka dots. The site name does not seem to be any indication of content which seems have a religious sort of slant.

The Halloween material is a month out of date. I like the menu at the top. A bit like a WP tag field without the different sized fonts. The interlaced bolding seems a little random but is attention grabbing.

Didn't get why hoLKaPoLka has the caps in the word.

Nice unobtrusive social site links.

Read a few of the jokes. Most of them I didn't understand or did not see the point - not funny to me.

It took awhile to realize that the menu was in two sections, Jokes - Articles and Poems.

Read more like a blog without any (obvious) blog structure.

Hey mate. Clever site, though the black polka dots take way from the main content section.
Perhaps if you're really keen on keeping the black polka dots, change the main section to coloured and shadow the border of the wrapper/container. This will make it pop off the page a bit.
The site works, but the dots are too much, at least to keep me sticking around after a quick scroll and skim read.

I personally found it very hard to read and an immediate turn off. I'm just one person though. The background was a bit overwhelming and the content immediately took my eyes to a glazed feeling. I couldn't figure out where to skim. I suggest, imho, putting summaries and pushing the main part of the content to another page. Dump the background and go for something softer so it's not fighting with the content. Yes, content is king, but keeping people on the site is just as important.

My humble opinion and 2 cents for what it's worth ...
