Its really hard to find the right designer, because you will get many offers. You should talk with the providers and see their portfolio. Then it will be easier to decide

 

All hosting companies have some place on their sites where you can enter a domain name and see if it's available. (If it's not already registered, it's available.) Then they create that name for you.

BTW, anyone who offers to design a site that will rank near the top on Google is just ripping you off. Not even Google could do that. No matter how you design the site, other things count too - like how many other sites link to yours. And no one can "design" that.

If you absolutely have to have your site on the first page of Google results, pay for a first page insertion in the paid ads.

I am a web designer myself and I design High Quality stuff. I got my coder and SEO guys at hand and I got to tell you, achieving a new site at the top of SERPs is not something you can do in a day, a month or even a year. You not only need a high quality design, but it should have a perfect HTML/CSS (HTML5 and CSS3 are the way to go these days) with the right meta, heading and structure.

Now about the indexing. You will need a domain which was never dropped, that is you buy a new one or you buy one from a domain seller which may be years old. The last option is the best because aged domains are more "liked" by Google provided they have not been dropped. My SEO guy put a site online and on the first day he attained 545 Organic Views. Second day it was about 800 and it's still climbing to about 75 views/hour everyday and all that organic. So how is this achieved? Well, the client paid $3000 for the SEO part only. He can definitely make a minimum of 10Euros a day with such traffic, so it's totally worth his investment.


Now the design. It sometimes costs more than the coding itself. A typical simple custom design costs around $400 from a reliable designer and up to $2000 from top companies.

Coding depends on what you want.If you want to run wordpress, joomla, or some other script with your design, it's totally possible. Normally coding a design for a specific script costs from $300-$4000.

If you want to have a custom cms, well then I have seen people charging $100 for it, but beware $100 for a custom cms will lead you nowhere. Normally a reliable custom cms with your design will cost you from $1000-$15000 depending on what you want and what features you want, etc. I guess the $1000 cms will suit your needs. More than that it's just for bigger stuff.
