Hi, My sister is thinking of getting a laptop but I heard a lot of bad comments about different brands and I am not sure what are the good ones so I would like to have some advices from DP users. Thank you. Cheers, Webchoice
Get a Dell, go to www.delloutlet.com, find a laptop you like. Go to www.google.com search dell outlet coupons, and see if you find any laptop coupons. This is what I did. I got a 2.4, 1g, 15.4 widescreen XPS for just under $600 with shipping.
I would recommend a Toshiba laptop! I am using a Fujitsu Siements since around 10 months now and I am happy with it (till now)
I would recommend Toshiba. My cousin has it (he bought it from Japan) and it works perfectly awesome even after almost 1 1/2 years.
Get anything but dell and if you get it by accident do NOT call their customer support or you will be forced to reply with kind of language they often use which i hope you will not be comfortable with so ........ NO DELL
If your budget is large, there are many good brands to choose from. I would suggest Toshiba. But if your budget is less, you can buy an Acer Laptop (like me). Check for configurations and features too to suit the needs before buying.
Agree, and I have been using one for three years, nothing is wrong with it. And so does my cousin, and he has been with it for 5 years.
Thank you for the feedbacks and advices. My sister has a tight budget so she is hoping to get a lower price laptop with reasonable performance. Any recommendations? Thank you.
I am serious and this is very honest advice that do NOT get a dell. You will regret it...... I dont know why people like Dell whats so special. Prices are very great. Quality isnt very good either. There is no such thing as support I just dont know why
I've had an HP and now a Toshiba. Do not ever get an HP notebook, they have a known power jack issue (and here) which they never fix. It gets weak and can't receive power, they can't fix it, when they do, it's only for a short period of time that the fix will last. My Toshiba Satellite notebook has been great, I just wish I got the one with the dual core processor instead.
