Three findings: There was 47% less foot traffic at the Microsoft outlet than the Apple store. Shoppers bought 17.2 items per hour at the Apple Store and only 3.5 items per hour at the Microsoft Store. All but two of the Microsoft purchases were X-Box games. Shoppers at the Apple Store bought an average of 11 iPads per hour. Despite heavy TV, print and billboard advertising for the new Microsoft Surface tablet, not one was sold sold during the two hours Piper Jaffray spent monitoring that store. Doesn't bode well for Microsoft's answer to the iPad.
It all depends for what are you using Microsoft's OS and Apple's iOS. For some things, iOS is better, for some other things Windows is better.
well actually both are good in their field. i mean, you can never compare apple and microsoft since they're really different. there are so many apps found in the appmarket of apple that are very helpful which you cannot find in windows. now when it comes to compatibility, there are more files easier to convert and/or make compatible to windows operating system than to mac os. I do agree with HamaD1010 that both has great technoloy.
@Nawshale nice explained! For me the best solution is to use both. For mobile platform i use iOS (iphone) and for work i use windows.
My vote will go to Microsoft, especially to Windows 8! I never used any apple product in my life ever.
You can't really compare because they dont sell the same thing. In the computer and mobile worlds (not counting game consoles etc) Microsoft primarily sells software and Apple primarily sells hardware solutions with it's own integrated software. Both products are for accomplishing the same thing, but they do it in two very different ways, and make their money in different ways. All that said, I prefer Apple for my computing and mobile needs because it all just works - no fuss..
i have used an apple laptop before, and i thought it was pure garbage. here is why i will never buy apple products: http://www.care2.com/causes/how-many-people-died-to-make-your-ipad.html Apple has been famous for a long time now for just how many people die in their factories. But what amazes me, is that even though everyone is aware of this, they still line up to buy ipad3 in fact, people are so desperate to have these products that they do stupid stuff like: http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way...chinese-teen-sells-kidney-for-ipad-and-iphone any product, or company that continually shows disregard for its staff, do you really think they should be allowed to stay in business? if people refuse to buy their blood products, it will force them to change, improve the factories and working conditions. Treating workers as humans (instead of slaves) might increase the end price by $100 and reduce the amount they can manufacture per day, but if its such a good product, then i am certain the demand would still be high.
Surely you understand the difference between a company's "staff" and employees of a contracted supplier.. right? Because it sounds like you think they are the same thing.
rofl its like buying something that "fell of the back of a truck" sure, its separate, but you know full well where it comes from and whats going on. i dont just blame apple for those products, i blame the retailers that stock them as well. I dont care if the retailers, manufactures and apple are all separate, at every stage in the chain, someone somewhere should stand up and say, hey, i think this is wrong, and i choose not to support you. But think about something, which company has the direct power to change its choice of manufacturers and or enforce change (keep in mind that other companies such as wallmart have actually done factory inspections to ensure MINIMAL human rights are looked after) -> right now apple can easily enforce change, but they wont, they wont change manufacturers, or whatever. Here, sign this if you care for human rights: http://sumofus.org/campaigns/ethical-iphone/
you mean like how Apple has just changed assembly of their iMacs from China to... the U.S. ? is that the sort of change you are declaring Apple will never change?
I dont know.. I leave that up the contractors and the laws in their respective countries to worry about.
