You know...the whole thing about them being transfered to Syria interests me. I think that venue wasn't looked into, enough.

    I found this funny.

Syrian official last night said: "These allegations have been raised many times in the past by Israeli officials, which proves that they are false."

LOL. Boy they must love each other.

    Yup :)

One third of all US aid goes to the state of Israel. The Israeli officials certainly know which side their bread is buttered. :D

You can probably buy a nice SUV for that price. :p

I know Im probably going to get bashed for saying this but I honestly dont mind Bush. I mean yes he made a huge mistake but he certainly is better than John Kerry (and I live in Massachusetts)

That's not really a statement of truth[syria's comment], though. People can't base their whole theory on bias or dislike.

    No Rick you misunderstand me.

All I am saying is without the billions that Israel gets in aid from the USA it would be much poorer and far less likely to bully its neighbours. :)

Something like an average of 2 billion a year, with interest. There's only 6 million people in Israel, as of present...so obviously the number per capita would be high.

Not much if you consider the length of time,... not that I like foreign aid at all.

LMAO! That's the most humorous twist of delusion I've yet to see you post, and you've posted some whoppers!

Dude, get counselling! Seriously, I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt that you have emotional issues and it's not just from a lack of mental reasoning.

So you give me the benifit of the doubt, cheers doc. :D

You don't even know me so stop assuming. Just because you love George Bush no need to start accusing me of having emotional issues, as I said before respect my views, I respect yours. If we were all in agreement on everything in this world then this P&R forum would be boring. :D

I am going to have to agree with GTech, I agree with you AGS that the government is gaining power from the threat of terror but your baseless conspiracies are a little too much for me. Motive is not proof of a crime ie: 9/11

As for my source GTech: The text of the executive orders.

Good luck with that though AGS!

Well, I know,... but I don't think it had anything to do with my statement or the quote.

People shouldn't just discount Israel because it get's foreign aid from us.

That's what I found humerous...that a country would say ....'it's israel, so who cares what their opinion is!?'

Watching a mixture of different news outlets would be your best bet, all of them are biased to some extent for example; cnn's "in the money" is like fox news' "on the money" for socialists :)

I watch as much as I can, here in the UK the BBC (Blair Broadcasting Corporation) is the main one followed by ITV, I watch FOX sometimes (I even watch the dangerous idiotic neocon supporter Bill O'Reilly rimming Bushes arse in his Bill O'Really show) CNN, MSNBC (online feed), ABC occasionally.
I also visit many alternative media sites on the net and listen to a few US radio staions (www.gcnlive.com is one of my favourates.)

I absorb it and it gives me a better view on what is currently going on in this wonderful world we live in. :)

I agree with you sir that most are biased to one extent or another. Most of the mainstream media is owned by just 5 corporations (Howling Mad Rupert Murdoch is the biggest I think) but I do like to absorb the alternative media and keep an open perspective.

"Oh snap, someone got royally owned"
This thread is funny, and maybe I am royally owned:)
But do you remember when I started that thread asking people to list one good thing about President bush, and everyone ignored that and listed all the bad?

Well, since you think good means bad, here are some good things about President Bush:

(This is from an article about him, not my own words)
George Bush, the current President in United States is really a legend. He is not right all the time, as a matter of fact all of us know what mistakes he has made. But he is probably one of the most effective Presidents in United States.

When he assumed power four years back, the country was recovering from the sex scandals and lowered moral values in the days of President Clinton. From there it was not easy to bring America where it stands today in terms of traditional and family values.

This is obviously not acceptable to America. Pentagon came out and challenged this decision to help China in high tech arms.

Within a few months of assuming office, America went into a spiraling deflationary recession. The dot com boom and bust had every signal of a coming depression. And then came the nine eleven massacre. If some one remembers the week of nine eleven, no one knew if the stock market in America would ever open again. But George Bush stood strong on the ground. He worked closely with Federal Reserve to make sure interest rates are lowered; financial liquidity is maintained and enhanced. The process helped in creation of millions of jobs in the financial services sectors. In NJ people got laid of AT&T and lucent and after a short retraining got absorbed in Mortgage refinancing industry making equal if not more money than before.

The biggest achievement of George Bush is in bringing the sense of pride and patriotism in America. No one can deny America is taken more seriously in every corner of the world than four years back.

It is true that Osama is still out there. But he and Mullah Omar are on the run. The way America changed the political surface of Afghanistan is remarkable. Though the war is still on, it is an achievement and the Russians especially the old Soviets need to take a lesson from Bush and his team.

Another big achievement is in bringing Pakistan, a potential terror sponsor with Nuke capabilities and in the palm of Sama Bin Laden, into the group of allies that America needs. The way Bush indirectly facilitated the ongoing peace process between India and Pakistan is remarkable. It is a very big achievement that many others never imagined possible.

In Iraq, there was controversy over WMD and many other issues. But Bush had to do what he did. He had to show his resolve and strength somewhere. Today believe it not he is more feared and respected in the Islamic world. They may not like him but they respect him as a tough leader who knows how to get jobs done.

George Bush’s biggest achievement is in hiring and firing cabinet secretaries and aids. This is really unique. For the first time a politician runs a Government like a corporation – rewarding performances and firing incompetence's.

Well George Bush is not perfect. But no doubt he has brought pride, stability and essence of moral values in America. Even his biggest opponent has to respect him where he is great. Ten years from today, people all around the world will look back at this World leader and say – he was unassuming, a common man but did change the world for good and steered the world in the right direction.

    I found it here

    :)

So what gtech is saying is we failed in the war and let the wmds slip away to syria?

that doesn't sound like supporting the troops.

Why would what one person does have such an affect on your moral values

how is it an achievement if a war is still continueing

    Why

so are you saying it is ok to attack another person/contry just to show you are stronger

personnally i don't think they either like or respect him

Actually, this is an important point you bring up ferret. For those perpetually pessimistic about everything, to accept that there were wmd, will shift to self-loathing on behalf of their country to offer "we failed to get them." As if "they" were part of something grander than themselves.

As long as everything can be viewed as a failure, the possibility remains open.

    How bad is Bush?

If history was to judge him right now on current conditions I'd bet historians would call him one of the worst US presidents ever!

Time will tell in the long run.
