How should I promote a funny pictures website?

Hey guys,

So I own a funny pictures website which can be found in my signature and I was wondering how should I market it? Apart from the obvious Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram how else should I promote my website?

Try 2leep.com website or other simlilar could/hub style websites also there is good website reddit.com where you can promote it.

Update constantly and people will share your stuff like CRAZY...

 

I already said I'm using most forms of socialmedia :|

 

Produce a video and put it on video hosting sites such as YouTube and Vimeo with a link back to your website and promote it in your social media, people love funny stuff and generally tend to share things that make them laugh.

 

Make a video of them and post them on YouTube and other Video sharing sites with your website link in the description also look for forums in your niche and post them.

 

1. Create a Facebook fan page
2. Create a Pinterest account and post your pictures there
3. Use Instagram to post your pictures there
4. Tweet each new picture
5. create a video
etc,..

 

Read my thread again. I said I am already doing all that stuff. I just need some new methods.

 

i am on a few gaming forums (like evony), and its common for gamers to find funny pics and share with others. Might be a good idea to join some gamer forums, and they will have places where you can post funny pics (lol cats are overrated but everyone seems to keep doing it) All you have to do is post the first one, where you found the pic, (where others can find pics) and others will contribute to the thread.

You could try giving your social campaigns a boost by hiring cheap advertising gigs from sites like fiverr.com .

without even trying, i can find dozens of forums that would be suitable for promotion, here is one at random:

-> so long as the image you link to "applies to the thread" then you will get away with it. If you were to just promote your actual website directly, then mods might remove your account.
but if you contribute your gonna get backlinks, and I think alot of these forums are high PR sites.

Nearly every gaming forum will have some sort of "lol cat" or funny pics thread.
here put this into google: "funny pictures site:http://bbs.evony.com"
and just on any thread thats applicable, post some funny pics, you get traffic, backlinks from (i think) a high pr forum, and the forum community wins because it helps keeps the forum alive and active.

The best way would be that you can try the promotion in photo-sharing sites say Flickr, Photobucket,Imgur, Tumblr, Pinterest, etc. These sites gives you better result and even I have got a better experience for one of my image website. Apart from this, you can try with
- posting a blog that comprises the latest pictures and few lines on the same from your site.
- Can make a video either animation or realtime and try with the video hosting sites.
- Participate in the discussions and the happenings related to the industry that your site holds on.
- Quite normal, have your entry in the social media sites too.

These would be the impressive techniques that can intend the web users to visit your site. Indeed, you have to update your website information at regular time span which in turn brings the search engine robots to your site quite often.

Try to subscribe to targeted newsgroups and newsletters that are into funny situation and jokes. These will be your priority as they are subscribed to receive all the jokes that can be thrown to them...

Google Groups.
Yahoo Groups.

Another way, is try to promote via Craiglist.
