I just recently got into buying a few domain's im calling it quits until i sell at least one of these i have not attempted so far but i would love your opinions on them. Local-stuff.com Good for a coupon , local guide reviews or a listing website stupid-stuff.com Was surprised this was open i know the - is bad but the competition on the keywords for this are relatively low trying to decide if i want to build it up DeepSocket.com I registered this after seeing the term "deep socket" referred to as a sex term on urban dictionary i figured it was a funny domain and it could be used for adult purposes or tool purposes hah Broker-Training.com Just grabbed this one i know the dash is bad but i could not help my self figured it would be great and versatile for different types of brokers Training-Advice.com This came suggest on go daddy with the above domain and i figure it is also versatile ImprovingSuccess.com Pretty long but maybe somone who is into affiliate marketing or some type of infomercial will grab it up Would love your opinions im still super new to this i have not sold a single domain yet hoping i can make a little money.
Local-stuff.com - got a bit of age but I hate hyphens and this one has no real specific end user intent. Value = <Reg fee undeveloped. stupid-stuff.com - redirecting to a magazine? again no real intent here, could be a collection of stupid/fail pictures? Value = <reg fee undeveloped. DeepSocket.com - has some age, used to be a porn directory http://web.archive.org/web/20070127073411/http://deepsocket.com/ - awesome, id keep this one and develop it out. Or you could sell wrenches. Still value is minimal other than the cool name and potential. Broker-Training.com - argh hyphens. A bit of age, but only value would be for someone looking to sell broker training click bank products or create an education directory or soemthing. Woudl take a large investment to get started. Value = <reg fee Training-Advice.com - wayback machine on this one is hilarious with a yawning cat and its in german - http://web.archive.org/web/20020331004159/http://training-advice.com/ so I think it was a pet site. Id use it for a dog training tips blog and try to monetize that. Again I never register hyphen domains unless the SEO value is insane. Value undeveloped = <reg fee ImprovingSuccess.com - I cant see an end user wanting this as its too generic. Could be used for CB make money fast crap ebooks. Value <reg feeSo from my appraisals you can see I am very strict and would never pay more than the reg fee for those domains. Actually I probably wouldnt have registered any of those except for deepsocket.com haha If you are looking to flip undeveloped domains to end users for profit I suggest you change your strategy.
Hey ChR0n1k Thanks for the very usefull information i would not have thought of the points you bring up. I cant believe i did not way back machine any of those domains im super happy deepsocket.com was a porn directory i thought i was the only one who thought it was pervy. I think i may try to develop stupid-stuff.com as a funny video site and make back a little money with hopefully not to much work now that i know theese are useless.
Local-stuff.com - undeveloped..it's worth reg. fee stupid-stuff.com - once again..undeveloped it's worth reg. fee DeepSocket.com - Not really any end users out there for it. Maybe mid $XX Broker-Training.com - You might be able to find an end user for this name. The hyphen hurts it but there is a big market for it. I would be asking high $XX to low $XXX at max. Training-Advice.com - Some potential end users for this one but not much. I would ask high $XX at max.. ImprovingSuccess.com - Probably better of developing this one. Undeveloped I would say low-mid $XX
The following domains would be worth something based on the revenue and traffic. - Local-stuff.com - stupid-stuff.com - DeepSocket.com If you can find the right buyers you can make something nice with these. Broker-Training.com Training-Advice.com ImprovingSuccess.com The best domain in the lot would deferentially be Broker-Training.com The best site would be stupid-stuff.com.
No problem dude, always check wayback as it gives you a perfect snapshot of what the domain has been used for previously. Always be careful when drop-catching too, as more often than not, the domain was dropped for a reason rather than someone just forgetting to renew. Good luck with DeepSocket (lol i freakin love that one) and let me know if you had any questions or anything, feel free to fire me a PM and I can try to help you out. Ive only been domaining for about 2 years now but you can probably stand to learn something from me.. lol
Thanks a ton ChR0n1k For the advice i will deff hit you up soon with some questions , iv been following the affiliate marketing websites the last week and decided to try somthing similar so i started developing improving success yesterday , you can check out the progress at www.improvingsuccess.com/improve , i think i may use deep socket for a fake political website for some up tight republican until i can find some type of buyer, who knows maybe it will go viral haha.
