    Hi all,

Yahoo Search Engine Reasult Pages displays Title and Description which are retrieved from their Yahoo! directory. NOT from site. Which is Very old and gives no click conversion. Site is listed in directory for free. Is there anyway to work around this problem.

You could try adding <meta name="robots" content="NOODP">, but this was originally to supress the description from dmoz.org. Yahoo! do have some algorithms to decide which title/description to use, and NOODP might work for you (but probably not).

Other than that, the only solution is to get Yahoo! to update your link in their directory. There's a form to do it somewhere...

They do honor the "noodp" tag but I don't think that will remove the directory title and description from the SERPS

Yahoo are working on allowing webmasters to opt out of having the title pulled from the directory.
