I have found and I got some books I would like to recommend to read to improve knowledge about joomla. Here they are: 1.Dan Rahmel "Professional Joomla" 2.Jennifer Marriott "Official Joomla! Book" 3 "Joomla Bible" There are probably more interesting books about joomla and if anyone knows them please share that information.
I tried to download Joomla bible...but i didnt found any download link there..could you please help me out there..!!!
I am not sure whether you will find it free to download. All those links are to normal paper books, not e-books.
i am very grateful to the person who posted this content. I have been wanting to study Joomla for a long time. Now i think my wating will be finished.
Richard, No need to buy a book ... 1 - Read online tutorial 2 - Practice Joomla in real 3 - Answer your questions and issues with Internet / Google / This forum !!! Practicing is the key
Unfortunately, tutorials don't have full information about joomla. But I fully agree with you that practise is the most important to master the joomla.
Dear Richard, This is right, Tutorials are not so accurate. But that's a first step to understand how Joomla works : interaction between modules, plugins, menu, templates, articles, etc. As soon as you have some knowledge to understand the background (books aren't better than online tutorials), you can practice and practice ... And discover really how it works. Thus you'll encounter issues and improve your understanding ! Joomla as other CMS has its own logic. Publishing a website in the real world is the best you can do to really go deeper and learn a lot about Joomla.
I totally agree with that practice is the best way to master joomla very well. I will build my website in joomla soon after I sort the template out.
Well am new to joomla and I would love to learn more about joomla thanks for sharing the link to joomla books I would download and start reading them.
Here you go: "Joomla! Explained — Your Step-by-Step Guide" by Steve Burge. But ultimately always there is options for learning joomla using video tutorials from Lynda. It's paid. PM me if someone is looking for Lynda Joomla Video tutorials at a cheap price.
"Joomla! Explained — Your Step-by-Step Guide" by Steve Burge http://www.amazon.com/Joomla-Explained-Step-Step-ebook/dp/B0058NXP7E
I have bought good book Steven Burge "Joomla!Explained:Step-by-Step Guide" and I have read half of it already. This book is very good for beginners and I strongly recommend it although it is about joomla 1.5 version but basics remain always the same.
I have found another good book which explains more how joomla works inside: Mark Dexter, Louise Landry "Joomla!Programming"
I have started to read that book and it is perfect for developers. It explains how joomla works inside, folder and file structure, overrides idea in details, how to customize joomla.
