The first thing I see on your site is an irrelevant banner ad in the header that hasn't been nofollowed. I don't know whether it's an affiliate link or a paid link, but it's an immediate red flag. Especially with its location. Also some images for the listed cars are broken. The videos section comes across as crap - why not embed the videos? Or at the very least make real live links. Some content seems weird, too, like a copy and paste. That's the brand name (domain), so it's to be expected it occurs frequently. A count of 46 domains doesn't mean much, more important is what that is in terms of %. The OP might want to read this analysis someone did. Yep, raw URL links will help to dilute your anchor texts, but don't spend too much time trying to undo what you've done. Get any paid links taken down. Take down as many spammy links as you can and for the others disavow them. Guest blogging (never pay for that). Make content people want to link to (a good article, cool video, cool graphics, comics, etc - I mentioned to you before, it's for cars so you have a lot opportunities for this). Do outreach work and make contacts, relationships. On social media, engage with sites/blogs that compliment yours. If they have posted some interesting material, write about it on your blog, post it to your feed. All this outreach, interaction and relationship building will eventually lead to some reciprocation. Don't forget your followers though, too; engage with them and they are more likely to keep following you and sharing anything cool you make with friends. Good luck.
How is your anchor text Variation? I would recommend some high autorithy sites backlinks with naked URL (no keyword in anchor). One of the best way is to do guest blog posting on high PR and authority sites. Now, its a matter of quality. If you have shitty backlinks spammed to death, you're pretty much f*cked. Your tier 1 backlinks should be unique for sure. Other than that, goodluck. Update us on how the site is doing and on what backlinks strategy you're going to use.
Furthermore, you meta description sucks, so how it shows up in Google reflects that. You are completely missing out on an opportunity to "sell" your site (encourage click throughs). See for yourself: Also, you're using meta keywords. Why? It's redundant, except as a spam indicator for Bing. I see you've switched over to Wordpress (I guess it's easier than your last CMS), but your page load isn't as quick as it could be. For example, you're not using something like Head Cleaner or Better WP Minify to combine (among other benefits) the CSS and JS files. Page speed plays a part (albeit a small one) in the ranking factor.
It's a bit complicated what is penguin after... It can be solved however Maybe these are the most important factors for you Diverse Anchors, but do it well, not just "Click here" and stuff Get rid of Low quality sites mass linking to you site, or stop it Linking patterns (what sites, from where-footer-context, and when compared to other links) Unnatural velocity Try to mimic an authority site, what you check with Ahrefs... This could work: 300 directory submission (...dripping as getting accepted) 1 Press Release through a news wire Buy 50 posts randomly linking to you site It should be work!
Oh I forgot, What I always advise to my clients: Put a badge, or a link in <code> tag and ask visitors to link to your site. Eventually 1 out of 1000/2000 will link to you. And also this may be a good advice as well: Place a link with Javascript anytime if your text is copied. This is mostly for scrapers but you can get some extra editorial links as well. See for example Ezine, they copy their link in addition to the copied text.
thanks for the comments.. didnt understand a few of them.. you stated some images are broken but i can't find a single one broken. and no, we have never paid for a link in the lifetime of this site..
thanks for the comments... is that true about bing and meta keywords anyone else?? an dyes we switched over to Wordpress because the previous CMS has issues with SEO that couldn't be corrected.. how would you re-write the meta description.. does it really 'suck' or just need tweaking..
Try to mimic an authority site, what you check with Ahrefs... Didn't understand this part.. please explain..
I went into cars by type (convertible) and some did now show images in the list. This seems to be an intermittent issue with your script (I checked it from two physically different locations and PCs) as sometimes images show up as broken and it can take several refreshes for them to load properly. For example: http://www.mustangtraderonline.com/1956-ford-thunderbird-roadster/ http://www.mustangtraderonline.com/1966-ford-mustang-convertible-44lou/ http://www.mustangtraderonline.com/1985-ford-mustang-lxgt/ It could be a timing issue if the plugin (or in this case theme, it seems) is generating thumbnails dynamically.
You can always research what Bing has to say about it: http://www.seomoz.org/blog/pump-up-the-bing-whiteboard-friday (Duane Forrester is Bing's equivalent of Matt Cutts.) Well, it's like you're repeating the same message and also capitalisation of almost every word (it's not a title, it's a sentence or two). I would write something more like this: "Classic Ford Mustangs for sale or to trade. Whether you're a buyer or seller, you don't need to look any further than our classified ads." And I would tweak the title, too. It just feels like both are written for search engines and not humans. EDIT: Actually, your meta "keyword" (one hell of a long keyword, too) is an OK title: "Mustang Trader Online Classified Ads" It's straight to the point, people can understand what the site is for immediately. Or: "Buy and Sell Classic Mustangs - Mustang Trader Online Classifieds" "Classic Ford Mustangs For Sale - Mustang Trader Online Classified" I just feel "Classic Ford Mustangs For Sale or Trade at Mustang Trader Online Classified Ads" is too long and it's better to show the whole title in the search results. (70 characters max.) A good place to start: http://www.seomoz.org/learn-seo/title-tag They also have some posts on their blog about title tags. Good luck.
Pretty good advice in here. Doesn't mean it will work, because Penguin sucks, but could be worth a shot since you do have some good quality links. That said, I've had better success just starting over on a new domain. Less money, less time, and less stress that way. Also keep in mind that most of the time if you were hit by Penguin, you'll have to wait till the next Penguin refresh before seeing if your changes made a difference.
i am also suffering with penguin hit site can any one tell me what i do for penguin recovery. please do help me. tell me what techniques i use for penguin recovery.
Well, the first thing that I would suggest you to resort to is on-page optimization on the search engine guidelines. This will help you have a better chance of being ranked and once you are done with on-page you can put your efforts for off-page optimization as well as also make your presence felt in the social media circuit. Hope that it proves helpful.
I only doing on page optimization .daily update the site .thats all .i did not face any issue in google update .i gradually get ranking .60% visitorts form organic
You have an algorithmic penalty so forget the disavow tool. Forget about re-inclusion requests. Before you go removing links get some good links from directories ( Yes I said that..directories ) that are in your niche. You will be surprised.
Google penguin is mainly concern with back links so remove those links which are spammy or not related theme based from your websites. try mold your targeted keywords and less your keyword density particular webpage !!!!!!!!!
