I can't get my site to recover my the Penguin update.. it was never a spammy site but it may have had bad backlinks?? i don't know.. i've removed some backlinks that i could and used the Disavow tool to try to remove the others.. i see a lot of backlinks that i have no idea how they got there since we never did link trading or buying.. i don't think the onsite is bad as it's not using any keyword stuffing that i know of.. it DOES use the word Mustang a lot because it lists mustangs for sale.. i really need help and can't find it anywhere.. if someone would be willing to take this on and fix it, i would pay them.. we were listed for 7 years #1 for 2 great keywords and now both are gone.. site is mustangtraderonline.com thanks..
Penguin targets linking, Panda targets onsite content. Spending time trying to get links removed is a waste of time. A better use of your time would be creating links from high quality sites. Your links all use the same anchor text, you need to diversify that.
thanks.. but my anchor text ARE diversified - unless i'm not looking at all my backlinks??? i see a wide range of anchor texts from 'mustangs online', ford mustangs for sale, Mustang Trader Online, and many others.. what are you seeing?? and what software are you using??
could you please tell me what you mean by 'spammy keywords'???? and 'tweak your content' is a bit generic.. specifically what do you mean?
Check out http://backlinkreport.net/ .. especially the penguin strategy - http://backlinkreport.net/penguin-strategy and the resources http://backlinkreport.net/penguin-strategy/panda-and-penguin-resources ... it'll give you an idea of what you need to do
great resource... nothing new that i didn't know and haven't tried though... and they really didn't have a single case study to show any of it actually worked..
hi check this: your most used keyword to link back is "mustang trader online" (from 46 domains), which is not natural. the next most used keyword is : "mustangs for sale", which is also a money keyword used too much which is not natural try to contact all the webmasters and ask them to change your keyword into your official name: mustangtraderonline.com However all the links must come from the "cars" related websites or the content should be about cars. for example if the link comes from an article directory and so one. Try to change 80% of them and you will be fine. If your link is not on "cars related content", ask the webmaster to remove them.
Create some backlinks to other pages of your site. Most of your backlinks are directed to your homepage which gives google wrong impression of your site being spammy or fake
Just try to pick more high pr links, deep links which make appear to search engine as a real link,do not repeat keywords too make proper chaining of it will be helpful
You efforts will not appear quickly! I have a couple sites with 6 $$$$$$ terms that brought 2 million+ uniques yearly, that we were at the top of serps for years and got hit by updates in April. It took roughly 3 1/2 months to recover by steadily building "High Quality" Links Only. We went from building 1000's of links monthly to building about 100 high quality links monthly. So what I'm saying is go after those real hard to get High Quality links and diversify and you will recover!!!
any tips on getting the high quality links without paying for them? and did you have to remove/rename any of your old backlinks??
]thank you.. what software did you use to see those backlinks?? webmaster tools did not show me that nor did SEOelite software...
ya, like mentioned above, build more quality links using different keywords than you already have. Penguin targeted linking using the same anchor so maybe if you build links using new keywords then the percentage of links with the same anchor would go down. Try using single word rather than phrases.
