I sold a backlinks package to a shitty client. After delivery he opened a dispute in PayPal, when I inquired, he replied by blackmailing that make some more links or refund a partial amount. In good faith I created more backlinks as well. Now I have sent more than 10 messages in pm and dispute box but he is nor responds neither closes the dispute. Can anyone suggest what should I do. I never dealt with disputes in last 3 years of my services. Thanks for your time. Regards !
If you have replied in the paypal dispute and he is not replying you then it is possible that PayPal will be on your side and can close the dispute.
SO, You think I should forward that dispute to PayPal team ? I have heard that, Most of the time PayPal favors the buyer. I am very disappointed in this situation.
Hello master_mian, The chances are PayPal will not do anything as its a service/digital goods and clients are not always covered by this. You could just give as much information as possible to PayPal to help defend your case. Regards, Adam
Contact paypal, explain them and tell them that you are a proper seller, contact the buyer for a last time saying, Can I do anything else for You? I´m done with this and it is unfair.
I appreciate all the replies here. I have escalated it to PayPal after giving the buyer final deadline. Let's see what comes. Thanks
Make sure you provide proof of delivery (show what order was about and list with links or documents showing your work that was delivered as advertised) and mention the delivered goods are not-tangible and not returnable.
Thanks for all of you guys n gals, I escalated the dispute to PayPal team and after some days review they made a decision in my favor and released the funds. I felt very conformable at that moment, I was not after money actually, that thing hurts if you are being cheated. So, Thanks again for your participation for my first dispute handling. Regards
Dont worry mate. Based on my experiences, paypal usually protect the seller's rights. Therefore, there is a high chance that you will keep your money, and your customer will go back home empty handed. Besides, I can absolutely certain that you WILL keep your money, and win the dispute because selling backlinks are actually selling virtual items which Paypal don't wanted to get involved in, so they will just cancel the dispute or return back ur money mate. Cheers.
Good to know the dispute was ruled in your favor! At times, you have to settle the dispute outside of PayPal (e.g. through a court of law if the person is in your country) if what you are selling is not covered under Seller Protection, but fortunately, you didn't have to take that route!
