Will Someone Give Serious Competition To Google? Soon? Please?? Publishers seem to need more reliable options, correct??? ps. Happy Holidays.
I do believe that someone will one day start to challenge Google's dominance in the PPC market, but it is not going to happen in the near future. Pay Per Action may be option that has the greatest chance of challenging the entire PPC market and Google. I know that a lot of larger publishers are making a lot more money from PPA type ads then PPC type ads. I also believe that these types have a better ROI for the Advertisers. So as more advertisers and publishers move to PPA type programs the PPC programs will start to dwindle. But Google will more than likely just switch gears and begin to dominate the PPA market as it takes off.
Google will definitely remain big for a couple of years and then another young guy will make a better search engine and the whole cycle will repeat itself. Hopefully me
Well, Yahoo won't be too far behind, if they ever expand internationally. However, I just don't see how they will compete with Google's relevance.
What I like about adwords is that I can easily target many markets at once. AFAIK, I can not do so with Yahoo? I will have to get multiple different accounts (Yahoo USA, UK, Germany etc.)
Honestly, are they the best? Or the biggest? Even Google understands that they must continue to evolve - else die. It is not unreasonable for the consumer to demand more - even from the market leader.
Compitition is always good so lets hope so. Competition is what will make our % of money per clicks go up and we will make more money because the companies will compete for the services of placing there ads on our site. The problem is people who pay for there ads need a company they can trust and right now Google is the only name that seems to be good at making sure clicks generated are legitimate. A company will need to build a name for itself, I doubt it will happen before '08 but hey who knows... I definitly hope it happens.
Yes they are the best. Where have you been? Don't tell me you've been sleeping for 20 yrs. And you are correct and google does continue to evolve.
You are joking, right? The best? I think you mean the "best" under certain constraints, right? What is the "best"? Is it the fastest? The most comprehensive? The largest? They may be good. They may be the largest, but they are by no means the best.
I think Google will remain the top for along time. My prediction is that Google will end up taking over a lot of the top resources on the web. I am guessing they will buy eBay someday.
No one can ever bring down Google. They are dominant just like IBM was in the beginning of the pc market . . . Wait a minute. I mean, their products are as innovative as the Sony Walkman. Hold on. They rule their market, just like GM. Ummm
