Been working on my weight loss site, but haven't seen tremendous success?

Hi all,

I've been making use of
1) article marketing (Ezine, goarticles, selfgrowth..)
2) video marketing (youtube)
3) email marketing
4) social media marketing (FB, Twitter)
5) blog commenting (dofollow comments)

I mean i've had some successes and earned several thousand dollars for the past few months, but my revenue has now dropped along with some traffic..

How should I go about increasing my revenue and value provided to my visitors? (Other than typical replies like "post quality posts" - i ALREADY know that)

Should I continue doing what I have been doing, and I will see results after a few more months? Or am i lacking seriously in something?

It is not what you are doing with your website but how you are doing it.
First of all you are in the wrong niche because it is the most competitive one and you won't do much there unless you have an unique idea (your is just another spam blog) or a lot of money to be spent on this project.
The question you should be asking yourself is why your website is better than millions of other websites just like yours. I can't see anything new/unique about it so you will nave make a decent money out of it.

Another this is why the hell you are promoting your weight loss blog on webmaster forum? This is not the right place and the right way of doing things, so remove these keywords and links immediately. You won't get any targeted visitors from DP forum and these links are NOFOLLOW so you are wasting your time and ruining this great forum.

In short: you are doing everything wrong and I believe you are screwing your link building and other promotional methods as well. Learn. And do it NOW!

 

Then can you guide us from where we can learn Links Building.

it seems to me that you have the incorrect mindset. (I'm not trying to be funny, I'm being serious)

I'd like to suggest a book called, "The Power of the Subconscious Mind" by Dr. Joseph Murphy.
He has documented evidence of helping business professionals such as yourself increase sales
tremendously. Please share your experience when you read the book.

you should research in long tail keywords and target it to make visits..

I started this blog last Nov/Dec 2011, but was using free blogspot domain. I only changed to my own .com domain this June 2012

 

Alright, I am targeting a few main weight loss keywords, with the rest being long tail product review keywords

Hello. I think they are right.. it is a competitive keyword and you would need to do good link building and seo to get more traffic. However, you have mentioned that you already have a steady traffic for some time now.. i would also recommend you add more unique content and if possible find sponsors to start a small contest so that you could at least hold your existing traffic and if possible get referrals

Someone told me not too long ago: hang in there for about 3 years, then you will start seeing some real results...

I don't think it always takes this long, but "hanging in there" is important when it comes to an online business. It takes time for your stuff to propagate the internet. And yes, keep doing what you have been doing. It looks like you have been making some money, which tells me you have been doing something right.

The bottom line is: It takes time to gain a significant level of organic traffic.
