To get initial PR for your site, 100+ links of (pr0-pr4) are enough OR do you need more? Although more the better and quality links are even better but still like how many should be alright??

I agree. A link from one site that has a PR can get you your initial PR. It just depends on how many outgoing links are in the page that links to you. This is because less links on that page will increase the effect on you PR as to more links has less effect. A PR3 site with no more than 25 oungoing links can give you a PR2 or even PR3.

as terryuk said, don't worry much about PR (unless you are planning to sell that site later ). But anyways 100 inbound links should be more than enough
I run a website 2 years ago, and just registered my company in 10 B2B websites, and then I got pr1. Since I don't need web promotion, I don't care the pr at that time. But I think to get pr5 to pr6, you need much more than that.
