I am a social media marketer and working for a Debt Consolidation Company from last 5 months. In their social id's like YouTube, I find that they have 738 subscribers but when I log in with the admin id and check the subscribers, they are not visible. Only 4-5 are visible. According to me, the channel is being subscribed by spammers or they have gained subscribed from social sites which provide like exchanged services. The biggest tension for me is that, when I search the videos with relevant KP's> I don't find their page in the consecutive pages. I am too much frustrated and not getting any idea to remove those subscribers. Can you please help???????????????????????

1st thing is choose your keywords
2nd: do on-page SEO
3rd: If you prefer to do link building yourself with automated tools. I suggest scrapebox.
4th: Track your keyword rankings. You can do this by submitting to google webmaster tools.

That should get you started.

When it comes to social media, the best way to get traffic and links it to have people talking about your brand. To get people talking about your brand? You need that viral effect. Run a contest, give out prizes, freebies, make a cool video, meme, etc.

Alexa ranking has absolutely NO bearing on search engine optimization, nor does it necessarily indicate a website receives significant traffic.

WebDev is right. I should add that, low alexa ranking sites usually have good pagerank and authority rather than high alexa ranking sites. Something like pagerank 4+ and below 20k alexa ranking. TO get quality guest posts on these types of sites will be VERY good for SEO - Backlinks and natural traffic as well.
But this can be very expensive service, which I do not offer.

I am starting a kind of deals website with .com domain. I also want to host some India specific deals additionally. For that what is the best way from SEO standpoint


1. Create a subfolder - example.com/in
or
2. Create a TLD - example.in (I have .in TLD also registered)


Few considerations -
1. 80% of the deals (content) in main website and india website would be same. How would I handle duplicate content issue anyway from SEO perspective?
2. Different currencies (USD/INR) and different payment gateways in main and india website
3. Since I am just starting hence no previous history or link authority.
4. I plan to have a selector for global/indian website on homepage header with IP recognition, so whichever site user comes to he can go to other site.

There's no need to have two separate sites then and have duplicate content.

If you prefer 2 sites, I would choose domain.in . But if you have duplicate content, that is not good for either sites. You can always block search engines from getting your site indexed. But then that is not ideal.

So I think it's best to have everything on 1 site, and do the ip redirect for indian visitors to the indian specific deals.

 

What would you recommend as the best sources of free backlinks? Forum posts, blog comments, directory submissions etc. etc. all seem pretty useless in my opinion, unless you're doing hundreds of them, and even then... Any other suggestions?

 

Some of the best free sources to get high quality backlinks are probably guest posting at quality sites (pagerank 4+), manual blog commenting on high pagerank posts, authority profile backlinks, video backlinks, web 2.0 properties (squidoo), and quality article submissions.
I'm pretty sure there are others, but these are a good start.

Thanks, but also consider that currencies on both sites will be different. One would be INR and another USD. and so would be payment gateways.
How do I manage that in one site? I mean for some users accounting would happen in USD for for some in INR. It will only create confusion

 

If you put everything on one website, you'll have to figure out all that stuff out. Of course it can be done. But I'm not gonna be able to walk you through everything.

Maybe 2 different websites can be an option if you can split up the deals. Main website= deals for USA or whatever.
2nd website for indian deals.
Just don't have duplicate content.
