I've receive link removal request lately..i don't know what is the reason. Is it google no longer accept web directory as part of backlink? Anyone have the same experience?
It's because google started displaying messages in google webmaster tools, about backlinks, and then the stupid website owners freak out. The same ones who have been spamming about link exchange or using software to spam blog comment, paying seo farms to spam their links all over. Now they are doing the opposite. Personally I ignore those emails, sometimes I ask "how much?" and that's it. They are losers.

Hi, when you setup webmaster account, there have shown be a option with link removal request. If you have any errors or 404 link you can send request for removal so that webmaster could remove those errors from your website.
Quite to the contrary the opposite is true. 75% of those requesting have paid for the time involved without issue.
stupid webmasters freaking out is the perfect way to describe the situation! i will add..."professionally stupid webmasters freaking out!!..."
The key here is that "stupid website owners freak out". I don't think it's fair to label them stupid. Maybe "naive", or "ignorant" or even just "uninformed" would be better. Many of these website owners follow SEO blogs who also freaked out like a chicken with its head cut off. Google, realising it had created a massive problem, because of all this panic, decided to send out another message to webmasters saying ignore the warnings we are handling it Unfortunately the fire was already out of control so that bucket of sand didn't work. Hence, the disavow tool. Ignore the requests Dynn if it impacts on your time. They have the disavow tool, they can use it. The disavow tool largely negates this, though I guess it can't hurt to ask since the use of the tool is supposed to follow a request for a removal of the link to the site owner.
I've only had 2 - one I was happy to do as I'd put the link up as a favour in the first place, the other was some comment spam that had slipped through and, quite frankly, they can suffer. Now charging to remove... I like that alternative!
Same thing happen to those who submited articles in my drectory. When I started asking for fee they never respond. LoL
I've also had 2, the first I asked for an email from the domain and an editorial fee, then I read somewhere that Google was accepting complaints from those who were charged to have their link removed. So the second one I just asked for an email from the domain. Never heard back from either of them.
I had one. I emailed and asked why. Over-optimized inbound link text they said. Changed the title/link. I get to keep a quality listing. The site owner keeps a quality link. And Google is happy. I'd take that over a removal fee any day.
Brilliant idea they were ask for backlink but we are not put link to 'remove link'. so, how much you earn from this "how much" service ? and, how much should they pay for removing link ? $5, $10, $25 ?
I charge a fee every time to remove a link. I have a few directories that I have gotten in combo web deals that I just ignore that are full of links other people submit. Not a chance I am going to waste my time helping some idiot, and most of them come across rude in their emails anyways. After the WMT message they come crying and I say well why did you put your link there in the first place. Always they say "my seo guy or company did it" This always makes me laugh.
