Im not sure, but i concentrate on site content, and high SERP if pr. or popularity come from that then im happy.

I was just wondering if im the only one on the board thinking this way..

I've read alot of scripts about spending money to buy pr., and popularity, but the way i see it ....if you cant be seen your going to spend more money than your going to make unless you can be a good sales person, and convience people to think different.

worry about your traffic and your serps, not your PR.

a lot of people are very, very misguided when it comes to this.

I'll have to agree with you on this comment. PR is always been misinterpreted. PR <> SERP

Focus on advertising your site and the content. ;)

I agree. PR is good for selling links only. But PR can have an effect on SERP so they go hand in hand

Well said. If you have a directory shoot for PR, if you're selling something or need traffic shoot for serps.

Well you need one to get other i mean if you are good SERP wise you will have good PR for sure unless it is very uncompetitive field and if you have Good PR you most probably will have good SERP because links are the most important factor for PR and SERPs both. Sell your PR links and make money in addition to regular advertising like adsense :)

Based on what? I manage many sites and campaigns and have seen PR0 sites out perform a PR7

It is more about Targeted quality BLs than any PR. Pr does NOT = SERPs

    Honest

If your selling links.. be sure to send it over so I can tell Google about it for you... I am not talking about Linking Schemes... merely SEO

Okay, let's all bash PR. SERPs rule! Still, it is nice to get a boost in PR even if it is to only sell links and ad space to others.

Do you even know what quality backlink is  Quality backlink is a backlink from authority site and authority site is a site relevant to your topic with good PR with good SERPs and with good backlinks
If you get backlinks from quality sites you automaticaly get both PR and good SERP. Please show me one example where PR0 has outranked PR7 i know that is possible but is ALMOST impossible. I can believe PR0 outranking PR2.PR3,PR4 but PR7 you got to be kidding me or that PR is fake or redirect or anything like that. I will wait for an example from you :):D

    *I am not saying PR=SERPs

As long as your site has great, unique content, you'll be able to get away not doing SEO work. But for certain highly competitive niches, you can't get by just by having great content.

Hey...calm down dude... I know plenty about SEO thanks... old time fart from 1998 here... no noob..so rest easy M8

Now, I don't take freakin screen shots of things so I can make a point on a forum some day... I do this for a living. It was a site that was penalized briefly and never lost it's rankings..so YES there was a time on terms with gross results over 300 000 000 with a PR0 outranking PR7's and down.. so I guess I know some things U don't huh?

Don't wait for me ... I may already be ahead of U :D
