Hey I didn't received my September payment from smowtion, I contacted there support and they said you need to submit your passport scan copy, When I ask what for, they said its needed from members in order to get payment.. What should I do submit the copy? Is is safe?
I never heard any company ask such documents, no network ever ask for such documents, they are very personal and important, and if they get into wrong hands then you could get into trouble, so I don't suggest you giving such documents to just anyone or even copy, they may be missued
if asking give ... but is not good ! i not heard about this! http://press.smowtion.com/identity-verification-and-tax-information-for-smowtion-publishers/
yes. I scan my passport and send it to them. I receive 1,300$ on my paypal yesterday. I think its safe since smowtion is a big brand name
Even I have scanned it to them. Smowtion is legit, don't worry. I've received several payments thru them.
No problem, scan it and send it to them, If you don't have passport, then you can send copy of your telephone bill, they are asking it for just your address and country verification, nothing else. Regards
their rates depend on traffic, if you have good volume of traffic from US, UK, Canada and other European Countries they give better then Asian Countries.
I don't doubt Smowtion are a legit company, but please be aware most governments that I am aware of do advise you should NOT use a passport for anything other than the intended purpose. Where possible other documents should always be used for indentification.
its not about Smowtion will leak it or misuse it though you have to be careful if they sell their website or their data is not secure your important documents can be misued by someone else so I would not suggest you doing such thing rather go with some other network
A lot of individual publishers are actually doing more traffic then Smowtion as a whole. Further they ain't that big compared to parties like Exoclick or even Poponclick either. They ain't more rock solid then the local supermarket, so being a bit suspicious ain't that bad. About providing copies of passports. In a lot of countries this is explicitly forbidden by law. Besides that you just can't identify someone by a copy of an passport, since some features may not been copied. That's the sole reason Paypal, for example, may use wire transfer in the process of validating people. (Since banks already did that check.)
