Linking main site to new domains

For SEO I have bought some more relevant and niche related domain names for my business and I need to know is it better for SEO if I put actual content on the domain? The other option is to link the domain to my main site?

I want to make the most use out of the new domains I have bought since they are keyword relevant.

    Thanks for you help!

Linking the new domains to your existing site will not help much in my opinion especially if there are no type-in traffic and the domains are of less keyword(s) weighed..

Creating original content for the new domains is a better choice :)

Not really sure why you would need them?

Merely pick one and build the site there. The domain name will not get enough rank to be of any use. You need to build them up.

If not it is a sticky wicket even WITH geographically diverse Class C IPs

Thanks for the good advice. And to Gypsy I do understand the importance of building a good site on the domain otherwise I will have many domains but no real content and SEO will not pick up on it.

I'm glad to know now that linking the domains to my mainsite is not really useful for the most part.

About Class C ip addresses? I'm guessing you mean I shouldn't have several domains within close proximity to each other in regards to ip addresses. I am hostong them all on one server and I am going to try and do my best with that one server even if it does hurt me. I am getting a really good deal.

Keyword rich domains are really a plus in SEO. Furthermore backlinks is also important. So if your main site is relevant to your niche and the site is already established then it is also a plus again in SEO. Goodluck with your new site. ;)

What I am saying is WHY do you need multiple domains? Why not choose ONE and build on it? Simple putting a redirect froma bunch of domains will look spammy and the domains themselves will not rank without content and back links.

I don't see what you are thinking with multiple domains? Both Google and Yahoo use WHOIS information and may see that as spammy even if they are on divers Class C ips....

Try to build at least 5 pages with original content on your new domain. Also put a link to your main page from there.

I have added content to new domains and hope to see what happens. Google has already indexed a lot of it and I am going up fast in keyword rank.

My domains are all on the same class C ip range. This won't necessarily have a negative impact will it? Or just no impact at all as far as google ranking me?
