this guy said he give me life time phpfox license/vbulleti ownlicense
But now he said: he can not give me the login id of phpfox because he has three licenses in his account
and he said he has transfered vbulletin license to my email but i got no confirmation email(So I have just asked) vbulletin staff about the tranfering process and realized that he told me a lie. Also he said he could set up on my server but he does not !


I have PM and waiting for his reply to decide what I should do to this guy

 

have you paid for it?
if you use paypal, you can file agianst the transaction.
or consult with the payment department of your processor.

Update: I have contact phpfox and they said that it is easy to transfere the license. So it is clearly that this guy told me a lie!

 

I am sure you will get your money back.
Open dispute and see what the seller got to say via PP dispute contact.
or open a dispute and contact straight to PP for complaint.

Here is what i got from phpfox support staff. This guy has scammed me!

If Any one has an idea how to deal with him please advise me.

 

no wonder he wanted the thread closed awfully fast as he stated above,if you used a credit card i would just call them and use a stop payment since paypal really wont do anything since it is a digital item.. beleive me i went threw buying digital items before and paypal said since it was an digital item there was nothing they can do about it but your credit card company can stop payment and even reverse it then they will report the guy themselves.

Even the status in paypal is "complete" can I stop buy calling my credit card company?

 

Faster file a dispute on the paypal side.

And also if paypal dispute has no results, immediately call your credit card company to do a chargeback of that amount taken by paypal.

 

But on the dispute paypal ask me to wait for 20 days. Should i wait or should i end it sooner?

I'd go straight to my credit card company if I were you. They will deal with it immediately. Paypal is a little slow (and somewhat unreliable when it comes to getting your money back)

Here's what I'd do:
- File a dispute with your credit card company
- Next, file a dispute with Paypal too

Paypal will have to comply with your credit card company, or they won't get any money.

 

Don't wait 20 days, if you sincerely feel you were scammed, your credit card company will want you to act quickly. So disregard the 20 day thing, this seems to benefit PP rather than any actual dispute system.

Write a letter to PP, detailing everything. CC your credit card company customer dispute option. Remember, your CC might not honor anything since PP didn't scam you, they were the middle person, so that is a 'valid' transaction.

Thanks for all of your help! Yes, it is clearly that I am scammed. The seller moved the domain to my server and it was suspended because there is no license for phpfox! I will try and let you know the result!

 

Remember sometimes, what you think is a scam could be a communication issue. <<Being Optimistic>> So get in contact with the seller.

However if this a scam, you also should notify phpfox about people selling unlicensed version of their software/scripts.

I have open a support ticket in phpfox and let them kow about this. I still have chat record with the seller. He tried to tell me a lie a bout everything. He told me he has three licenses of phpfox in his account so he can not give me the id and password. He told me he has transfered the vbulletin own license to me but they were lie!
