Just need to vent!

SOOOOO aggravated! My website is down and since all my hosting is done on one account, that means ALL my websites are down. SO frustrating! I love my host, but when the site goes down, it stays down for at least a few hours. Just when I've been really promoting it, too.

Okay... I'll step down off my soapbox and quit whining. Surely, it will be back up soon. (I hope!)

 

Sure will, don't worry about it.
It used to happen sometimes on dreamhost (the one I'm using for many sites) but nowadays not so much since I took a VPS and a dedicated..

But really, it's bad when it happens just when you are working on your site, but otherwise if you're sleeping or not on your site, I don't stress about it. As long as it comes back eventually, fine.

 

Thanks for the reminder, James. You're right. It's really nothing to stress over. I can go play, I mean, work, on Facebook, I guess.

 

Have you submitted a support request to your provider?

 

time to change hosts - i have had sites hosted for about 20 years without issue.

 

I have. I know others who host with the same host and their sites are down, too. This host is an online friend, and I've been using them for years. I'm not ready to leave them right now. They've only had a few issues and normally, it's not a problem. Hopefully, it won't become one.

 

Relax. Providers usually have less than 5% downtime. Take the time to read a book or something and come back to it later.

 

Thanks for the encouragement... IT'S BACK!! ;o) Came back up last night. They had some server issues. But it does feel good to vent sometimes.

 

So its good to choose a host such as ipage or hostgator.

 

I am hosting with Chris Farrell, never had a problem till this day. He provides free hosting, as log you are a member of his membership.
