In October I added a bunch of new inner pages to my website. All have been indexed by Google except one (the "Spiritual Retreat" one in my signature below). Other inner pages I added during that time frame have been indexed fine. My question: Is there a sandbox effect for individual, inner pages? Or is the sandbox just for the domain? I cannot figure out why just this particular inner page can't seem to get indexed.
They can yes but i is rare, its usually the whole site. The whole site could still eb affected slightly Thanks
To further my puzzlement, all seven new pages that I've added since the "Spiritual Retreat" one have been indexed by Google! The Spiritual Retreat one is a unique, personally written new page (no duplicate content), and to the best of my limited ability, I don't see any technical reasons it can't be indexed. In fact, it is indexed by MSN and Yahoo. I remain baffled.
Hmm im not totally positive, one of my sites inner pages seemed as if it was sandboxed along with the main page, it came out then hours later everything else did
Is it properly linked to? Once I had a page that wasn't indexed and I thought it was something wron. Then I realize that my link on my main page to that page is wrong.
a few things: 1) a page being indexed or not has nothing to do with the sandbox, ever. 2) domains are sandboxed or not-- not subdomains, not pages, not directories. any other problems you are facing are not related to the sandbox.
So say if you were just targetting one keyphrase - you jump out of the sandbox, and decide to target more phrases you'll have better chance ranking quickly? This sandbox stuff baffles my head lol
if you have a trusted domain, yes, each page will have a much easier time ranking. it's not like you need to go through the process for each new page (or subdomain or subfolder)
the content is good, try getting good links to that page, Since the content is unique, u can search for a related page in wikipedia and add ur link in the external links section, That will get your page crawled
I don't think sandbox applies to a single page may the pages which is not indexed is not properly link from the home as it not having enough links pointing to it.. do some link building for it
I have seen that pages that differ from the main subject of my site will have more trouble ranking quickly (taking months instead of days to get indexed). In your case: this article is less 'biblical' then the rest of your site, and with the 'desert' theme - it could be interpreted as going into the 'travel' niche. Since travel is a highly competitive territory, that may have something to do with this page not ranking well.
Inner pages usually in my case are for less competitive terms, so they rank easy on Google. Problem is some of your pages, like your main site may try to rank for 1 or 2 term keywords. Good luck with those, those take effort and creative ideas to rank, get out of the sandbox, and get trust.
Jim: Sorry to hear about your sandbox problem. However, can you help me with my religion homework? Supposedly in Ecclesiates there is a poem or something that has the lyrics of a modern day song. Do you know what I'm talking about?
Perhaps it is a glitch in Google? I read from someone that some sites (with a lot of backlinks and contents) get a PR0 and have been for years!
