I want to increase the number of sites i run, without creating MFA sites, i do best with user generated content/interaction. How are you guys able to do 100's of sites and still have meaningful content?

Trust me, it doesn't take some one stating they are even making 20 sites before they are clearly making crap that no one would give a rip for. Unless they are making large purchases of existing established sites. Which basically no one is doing nor can afford (comparatively). A lot of the advice passed around here is by people who run a number of money-driven garbage sites.

making money with trash-sites shouldn't involve adsense; affiliate stuff works much, much better.

you're right. when people talk about making hundreds of sites for the most part they're talking about autogenerated, usually spammy, usually not terribly useful sites.

if you don't want to make MFA sites (I certainly wouldn't suggest doing so), then you should make a few sites and make them as best as they can possibly be. develop authority sites that people love. when you've done everything you can for one of those sites, move on to the next. that's where the real money is being made for most people.

I assumed it wasn't likely 1 person could run 100 good sites. I'll stick to my dinky $3.00 a day sites, and possibly build another site with a broader reach, as it seems my sites have such a small niche, increasing users/traffic would be very hard to do.

thanks for the help everyone. only another $297 per day, and i'll hit my goal. lol

I asked Shoemoney that same question. The response on his forum was that they are using Domain parking. So those aren't really real websites.

User created content comes after you've built up your traffic a little bit. Most people just won't participate so you need some traffic (1,000 plus vistors a day) before you will see any results. I strongly doubt that you will get 1,000 plus vistors for hundreds and hundreds of websites.

"I want to increase the number of sites i run..."

Why? To generate more AdSense revenue?

    "...without creating MFA sites"

If your reason was the above then it will be an MFA ... the only question is whether or not it's useful at the same time.

Quality takes time & effort.. even if you have a user-generated conent site (which mine is partially) you have to spend time keeping an eye on it, etc.. I spend several hours per day (ehr, night) maintaining ONE site, and i've pretty much neglected my two other sites (and the earnings prove it)..
No way in heck a person could maintain 100 GOOD, QUAlITY sites..

there are ways to do it, but it isn't easy.

to do it you need to master what's called "evergreen" content. that is, content that will forever bring you green :)

"news" sites usually take more time than they're worth. focus on writing articles for sites that will be as relevant in 5 years as they are now. finish one of these sites, move on to the next, etc.

I'm pretty new to the whole forum idea, but I agree with everyone else. The amount of time it is taking me to develope my websites, there's no way one person can create more than a few great websites.

My advice is to have them all revolve around things you like...or even around the same thing. I am the Director of a large gymnastics facility. I run an online gymnastics pro shop, a gymnastics community, a brand new gymnastics wiki, and our club website. My brain is always going the same direction.

all my sites are automotive related, 1 car specific, 1 race type specific and 1 parts store ( no adsense here )

I would like to increase my adsense reach, but still build/maintain quality USABLE websites. by no means do i want to create sites for the sake of putting ads on them. I dont see my 2 adsense sites growing beyond 6,000 page impressions per day ( combined ). even though I get a pretty decent CTR, im seeing as many as 30/40 clicks per day only fetching $1 and $2, which at one point was atleast $10/$15

Thanks for the advise everyone, I really love this place.

the best sites are ones you dont have to maintain and bring in money. Unfortuntley, that is not as easy as it sounds.

I am not sure either how you can create 100 sites without working day and night, or automating the process, in which case the content is likely to be derived from a database. Of course, they may have a few quality sites too.

100 Individual sites of 20 or so pages each of well written copy is my suggestion.

I dont think I could write 2000 pages about 1 topic, but I know I can write 20 pages about hundreds of different subjects.
