What a good news to hear, right? I'm testing a Dropdown Mega Menu from my site on Joomla 3.0 now. That's the first Joomla extension I made to run on Joomla 3.0.

Wheww, there are still so many many things to do with Joomla 3.0.

I have downloaded Joomla 3.0 but I have installed previous version 2.5.7, though because I am not sure there are many templates for new version available.

Yes, it's a wise move. Joomla itself also recommends Joomla users not to rush to install Joomla 3.0. I guess there won't be many templates or extensions ready right now for Joomla 3.0. And Joomla 2.x will be supported until 2014 anyway. Let's wait for Joomla 3.5 next year :)

It will take time to make all the extensions available for the joomla 3.0 till then I will advice every one to stick with the joomla older version...

And Joomla 3.0 is not upgrade friendly. Noone should update to 3.0 unless needing something special. Upgrading is a real pain, i ve tested it. Joomla developpers also mentionned that Joomla 3.5 will be built to upgrade easily !

That's why we're informed that we should wait for Joomla 3.5 :) However, Joomla 3.0 needs to be tested for a better version and we have to use it to know how it operates.
