Hi, newbie here. Just heard about digitalpoint from one of my writer-friends. I'm a freelance writer for five years now, and she said this is a great place to meet and connect with clients, and know about industry news as it happens. I'm a little bit confused and lost though. I've read the help section and browsed a little bit here and there, and it seems the whole site is filled with e-commerce people. I was expecting a more diverse crowd (e.g., that I can connect with people who own culture-related blogs or news blogs, for example).

Am I just looking at the wrong place, or am I at the wrong place myself?

    Welcome monsoondreams,

Well they say the fastest way to make good friends is to be one, so replying to requests for help sounds like a good place to start.

    But then I'm just a newbie ........

being active on the forum is definitely the key. Take your time and look at all the different categories. If you do that, I am almost certain that you will find exactly what you're looking for.

Hello and welcome to the forum!! There are lots of webmasters like myself on here that require quality content writers on a regular basis. I would suggest starting in the Services section under B/S/T or if you already have articles written you can sell them in the content section.

Also, feel free to send me a private message with your favorite niches to write in and I can see if I have some assignments to provide. Cheers!

Wow. Thanks for the warm welcome! I'll definitely check out the buy and sell section. Although I think I'm not yet allowed to sell my services or writings there--I think I need to wait for 14 days (at least that's what I understood from the rules).

    ChR0n1k, I sent you a PM. :)
