Hi guys, I just want to share with you how I build my lists using Youtube which is a great source to get targeted traffic. Youtube is the worlds second biggest search engine and it is a great way for us marketers to get visitors and make money if we know what we are doing. I'm going to show you how you can set up videos that can turn 25-50% of views in to clicks to your website and has the potential to convert 50% or more of those click in to email subscribers. In other words, it has the potential to get you 25 subscribers or more per 100 views. The method So what is this all about? To make this method work you need to create a video in two parts and post one part on Youtube and make people opt in on a squeeze page to get access to the second part. In the first part of the video you should discuss some aspect of a particular problem your audience is having, and in the second part you give them the solution to that problem. The way I like to do it is to discuss something related to the topic your videos are about in the first video, and then build up the excitement, as it comes to it's end. Instead of just walking you through the theory, let me give you an example of a video you could do. Let's imagine that you are promoting products related to weight loss and you want to build a list in this market. There are literally thousands of topics you could talk about related to weight loss, but let's imagine you wanted to do a video about what kind of workout that burns the most fat. The way I would do it is to discuss some general misunderstandings about how to burn the most fat or discuss some aspects of burning fat while working out without actually giving a solution to the problem. Towards the end of the video I would build some excitement by implying that I'm getting closer to what an effective fat burning workout actually consists of. But instead of actually presenting that in the video I would say end the video by saying “that's what I'll talk about in the second part of the video†or something similar. Then I would ask people to go to my squeeze page by following the link that I would put in the video description. A good way to increase the CTR is to end the video displaying an image that says something like “Click The Link To Go To Part 2â€. It is also a good idea to have a big arrow pointing towards the link in the description, so people notice your link almost immediately. Display this image for 15-20 seconds at the end to minimize the chance that the viewer doesn't click some of the suggestions by Youtube instead of your link. On my squeeze page I would simply have a short video asking people to opt in to the form to get access to the second part and and use the same strategy as in the Youtube video with an arrow pointing towards my opt in form. Then, obviously, I would give the visitor access to the second part of the video That's really all there is to it and it's a great way to get ongoing free traffic and subscribers. I do have a few suggestions to help you get the most out of your efforts so please read on. Working smart The key to really doing this effectively is to create your second part video so that it can be the second part to several first parts. If we use the fat burning workout example again and we imagine that the first video is we made is called “How To Burn The Most Fat While Working Outâ€, we could make another first part video called “Why Most Fat Burning Workouts Don't Work†or something similar. In a video with such a name it would also seem natural to end it with how to actually burn as much fat as possible while working and since we already showed how to do that in the second part video we have already created we can send the viewers to the same squeeze page as we did with the very first video we made. By repeating this process you could have several Youtube videos driving traffic to the same squeeze page and save you the trouble of creating a second part video for every first-part-video. Doing things the right way There are a few things you need to know before getting started, so you don't find yourself in conflict with Youtube TOS and get as good results as possible. The first thing is, that you have to provide some sort of value in the video you upload to Youtube. It can't just be a screen telling people to click your link. The second thing is, that your second part video can't be hosted on Youtube. It is against Youtube TOS to accept payment or make people opt-in in order to gain access to a Youtube video. If you use Wordpress you can download the JWplayer plugin and easily set up self hosted videos. It might be helpful to have the video hosted at Amazon Web Services or a similar service to make sure the videos run smoothly and people don't have to wait for your video to load while watching. In order to get the best results you should pick a good name for your first part video. Something that will grab peoples attention and make them want to click. I also suggest that you include either â€part 1â€, â€1st part†or something similar. It shouldn't come as a surprise to the viewer that he or she has to watch more than 1 video to get the whole message. It is important, that you build some kind of excitement towards the end of your part 1 video. It can't just be half a presentation, that is suddenly cut of by you telling people to click their way through to the second part. You have to really build up some kind of problem that people will want the answer to, and then you have to tell them what to do. Have a clear call to action at the end of your video telling people what to do next. Preferably you should both tell them and write it on the end screen with a big arrow pointing towards your link in the description as already mentioned The same thing goes for your squeeze page video. Make sure you have a clear call to action. How to make your videos I've had success with videos like these both with me personally in front of the camera and doing presentations and recording them with screen capture software, but I do find that it works better with presentations and screen capture, so that's what I'd recommend you start with. If you don't have screen capture software you can get a free 30 day trial of Camtasia here. It's a great software that's perfect for doing videos like these. Camtasia is quite expensive after the trial, so if you would rather start out using something totally free you can check out CamStudio. It's an open source screen capture program and it will do just fine to start with. If you don't already have a presentation program, I recommend Openoffice.org. It's a full open source office pack and you can download it for free at their website. Summary Let's briefly look over the steps of this system again: 1. Create 2 videos that discuss the same problem in a niche. The first video should discuss the different aspects of the problem, and the second video should offer the solution to the problem. 2. Put the first video on Youtube. Use tags from videos that have a lot of views so that Youtube will refer people to your video from videos with the same tags. 3. From your first video, send people to a squeeze page where they will have to opt in to get access to the second part. Make sure your first video provides value to the viewer. 4. On your squeeze page, ask people to opt in to get access to your second video. Do not host your second video on Youtube. As an example you could have it hosted at Amazon Web Services or your own hosting account. 5. Build a relationship with your list, promote offers to them and make sales.
No you didn't. You wanted to copy an article from another website without giving credit to the source!
Not sure where you found the article but I wrote this a long time ago and given it out for many marketers to use for free.
My bad it seems you wrote the article http://joozoom.com/how-to-get-people-to-subscribe-to-your-mailing-list-on-youtube/
This is information is pure gold. Thanks for sharing! I thought it would be more recommendable to create a personalized video showing your face to the audience, is really better to create a presentation with audio attached to it? I saw a lot of marketers do it but never tried it before.
You should not give us information by copying from another site. Give us unique idea if you can write it own.
Thanks for sharing dude its awesome. I think you should also share it in other forums so that people get a chance to learn the whole thing.
