Selling PR2 Proxy Site with Organic Traffic - UnblockAnySite.Net

Hello,

I'm selling my 4 year old proxy website. The website is a free online proxy that can be used to unblock, view and access any blocked websites and also to hide your real IP address and surf the web anonymously.

Most of the site traffic is organic, coming from Google and other search engines for the keywords: Unblock any site, Free Online Proxy, Unblock websites... I've attached a screenshot of my Google Webmasters account, showing the top search queries, impressions, clicks and positions.

The Google analytics data attached is for the home page only since I can't use analytics on proxified pages.

I'm not using any ads on the site at the moment.

The site can get a pretty good income if you can drive enough traffic and know how to use affiliate marketing, CPA offers and other monetization options... I just don't have the time and effort to maintain it myself as I run a few other websites and due to studies...

Domain name is registered through Godaddy, It will be pushed to the new owner's Godaddy account.

Nice site but where to host it? because most of the hosting providers doesn't allow to host proxy sites including the one I'm using any suggestions?

 

Shows good, Is it still worth owning proxy sites.There are lots of free vpn, proxy ip's, s/w working better than web based proxy site.

 

I currently host the site on my own dedicated server but you can try hosting it on a shared proxy hosting like xproxyhost.com or on a small VPS.

I can keep it on my server for a week while you decide where to move it.

 

Well, If you already own a proxy site network or thinking of creating one, This can be a good addition. Proxy sites are profitable, You just need to drive enough traffic and submit the sites to other proxy list networks...

 

What type of affiliate marketing offers would you recommend putting on a proxy site?

I never tried affiliate programs on THIS website.

You didn't quote the whole sentence; You can use ads on the site and affiliate programs to maximize your earnings but you need to work on marketing and promoting the website first.

I only own one proxy site and this was made long time ago, I'm selling it for those who have or willing to create a proxy network.

 

IMO looking at the above analytics, and owning my own proxy ring i can concur with OP and would suggest adwords alone would prob make around $30 per/mth add that with popads ( another $7-10 ) and adf-ly on your proxified pages (another $4 -$5 ) I can see this site turning perhaps between $35 - $45 per/mth on just the standing traffic, with no work put in at all.

Obviously this is my opinion but as some of you are asking where to host etc etc I guess you dont already own or know much about proxy sites, so thought o would give my input.

The formula is extraordinarily simple.

With well placed ads, one can expect to see a 1.5% click through rate on a proxy server, or 1.5 clicks for each 100 visits. The average click value for a proxy server in my case being about 20 cents per click, some higher some lower.

I believe shared hosting cannot afford this amount of traffic. It must be hosted by at least vps.

 

I believe this might be true, but I'm sure any high quality shared hosting service would accept it.

 

There are hosts out there that provide hosting solutions specifically for web-based proxy sites, you just need to do your homework
