Yeah, I remember learning about wars hundreds of years ago at high school and thinking I'm glad things aren't that way now.

But now I realise that its part of being human. Enemies, murder, prejudice, rule and conquer.

Half the world still lives in absolute poverty and we westerners are caught up in our own little superficial materialistic world.

    F*cked up.

Yeah it was a bit of a mismatch mate as the one midget was twice the size of the other. :(

Although Springer sold his soul to to devil years ago I must admit that I did enjoy some of the catfights with a couple of whores rolling around on the floor fighting with short skirts on. :D

God, what we say to people on the web that we wouldn't have the guts to say in person. Is there any way to keep the level of discourse above this line? Or no?

Do you realize this is the first time you ever phrased a question to me in a polite manner in this entire thread? Towards the beginning of this thread you wrote practically a half page long post about how I support President Bush simply because I support his religion/christianity. You based this on absolutely nothing, as I am not a Christian. I don't really care for that type of debating style. I didn't really think I was going to respond to you again, but I decided to just to tell you that if you want to know my position on President Bush why don't you read my posts in this thread? I could write a long post about how I feel about President Bush, but from your question I can tell your not really reading my posts anyway.

I do read your posts and I apologise if I came across as rude. Anything I say about you is just my perception and is really an invitation for you to expand on things.

But seriously, this thread is supposed to be about the good things GW Bush has done and nobody has really been able to put anything substantial forward.

Am I missing something? Why don't you shine a light on Bush for me. :)

That is my point exactly. What a great achievement.

Its Tony Blair's biggest mistake and Bush's best policy

Is this the only 'good' he has done for America?

Bushes legacy as president will be bad when he finally leaves office.

There really are no good points to mention about him which is quite depressing when you think about it.
He had a chance to really make a difference as he is (at least ostensibly) the most powerful man in the world but has failed miserably, almost to the point of making America the most hated country in the world (a spot currently held by Israel.)

Let's hope that the next US president Hilary Clinton actually does some good for the world and doesn't make the same mistakes Bush did through his sheer arrogance and ignorance. :)

I know what you would have done after 9/11. Sit back and hope someone is going to do something, right? That's not how the world works. Looking back at the history of the world, it took courageous acts and proactive leadership to end tyranny and aggression from people like Hitler. Do you know how many mistakes England, The US and other allies have made during WW2 which could have ended the war earlier?

There were countless ones. But no one speaks about them, because the most important thing is that Germany was disarmed,

Bush's legacy will be of a guy who didn't play a popularity contest, but did what had to be done.

The war was a mistake (oops!)

Dont even try to make comparisons with WW2. Who exactly is the bad guy in this war

Can you think of any good things about his presidency? We are having trouble!

I think he'll go down as one of the worst US Presidents ever. The war in Iraq has turned out to be a disaster. The US never put in enough troops to secure the country. It is rolling to a civil war. Noone wants to help because it means subjecting soldiers to immense levels of danger. The middle eastern powers will end up battling in Iraq for power over the region and access to oil.

Did he encourage the US to become ever more competitive in a competitive world environment. Doubtful.

He lowered taxes for the time being. Plenty of people like that. What will be the long term affect? Who knows. One thing the US economy is moving towards is serious levels of debt.

After 9 11 he had an opportunity to lead a world against extreme Islamic terrorism. The process started in Afghanistan and troop levels and efforts to pacify and change Afghanistan have probably not been enough. The taliban is having a resurgance.

He dropped that issue to attack Iraq and now we are caught in a mess with few alternatives.

His father and mother ought to spank him!
