    Hi folks,

    This thread should be only for webmasters that are hit from the Google EMD update. I want everybody to share info for his penalised site. We can get the bigger picture if we analyze the problem.

    So i will start with my EMD penalised site.

    Niche: android apps blog
    Update frequency: daily updated
    Unique content: No
    Exact Match Domain: No
    Affiliate links: Yes (small amount)
    Amazon links: Rarely
    Traffic: 3000uv/day
    Bounce rate: 60%
    Page veiws per visitor: 2.1
    Time on site: 1 min

    The site is hosted on blogger.com

    I hope more people share stats so we can try to get pass this EMD update.

    Please don't post no angry comments.

    Mine, total drop. sigh, google has implemented the anti mini site especially EMD's?

    It looks like not only the EMD websites were penalized in this latest Google algo's update. Am I right?

    Interesting! Many others on the web are asking saying the same thing. This update seems to have more than just EMD affect as seen in some of the data above.

    Traffic dropped totally though it was not an EMD. Other EMDs lost 100% traffic hosted along with it. Anyone having any solution/idea for recovery may share.

    Its quite interesting to see that there are many non-EMD websites which also got hit. I guess it has to do with the 2 Oct blog post from Google webmaster Central blog!

    There was a Panda update at the same time. So I think those non-EMD's were hit by Panda update.

    I guess what google was telling us EMD update is only the small tip of the iceberg ... Behind the scenes i assume there is panda and penguin update also ........ which lead to most of the website traffic down .......

    Google.com is updating changes day by day and most of the changes are not good for Webmaster with the name of Panda and Penguin now latest EMD update are only hurting the Webmasters and his SEO strategy.
