    I have had a personal site, in my portfolio for years now (I think 11 years now), the domain is PR 1, and has never been dropped. I don't have stats for traffic and assume no revenue.

    Yes.

    Multiple things. Because of the age and PR, anything you put in there, is going to be indexed fast. So, long tails will rank easily - can be monetized with Adsense, Amazon, etc..
