In which type of file the code for copy protection is located?

    like in php scripts there is code for checking where that script is being is used....or the code which includes the protection implemented by the author of the script.....where is that code located??? is it in html or css or php or sql??......

    a complex response to stop being NULL
    it is coded in javascript
    if you edit or remove it the script ll' not function
