How would I get more users to post on my site for now? Any good ideas how to find out where is a good place to market on? Paid or Free is what I have in mind. I am looking to get lots of traffic to the site within the next few months. Any advice would help.

    THanks

    Hi,

First of all finish the Affiliate page. Think about it, brainstorm if you need to and create an irresistible offer for the potential affiliates. You don't need to send traffic all by yourself, you can pay a nice commission to other people and they will send more traffic than you know what to do with it. Look at other freelance sites, see what make them a success and implement those things on your site.

After you do this my recommendation is to pay a couple of people(you will need to have a budget for this) to post ads for you in forums, on twitter, facebook...etc and tell them to send you a file when they finish the job with all the pages where they posted ads.

In the mean time you can start some paid campaigns on facebook, ptc sites, you can pay some people to send your ads to their twitter followers, go on fiver, ebay to find some cheap services, with a couple of bucks you can advertise to a ton of people.

You can do some free advertising by yourself: post some ads in classified sites daily, join more forums and make a couple of useful posts daily in them...

    Thanks Brianb,

I will fix the affiliate page now then implement some of the strategies you suggested.

I would try craigslist and backpage and maybe some other classifieds. Check craigslist's resume section. Some people maybe looking there for what you have to offer.

There are several steps which needs to be done before you can see your website getting the popularity. And the first thing that you need now is 'members' who will post their service. For that you have to advertise your website where they can readily notice! Its the key to success in my opinion.

My first effective decision is paid advertisement. Go find advertise it on smashingmagazine, see if you can negotiate a deal.
