Computer prices for the holiday season ?

What are your thoughts about Dell's pricing strategy for this holiday season ?
(or anyone else for that matter)

I think sales will be slumping because people are willing to wait a few months to get a Vista machine. Therefore Dell will have to slash prices to keep sales moving.

It seems like there were some good deals the past few weeks and I'm not sure what's going to happen the next few months.

It seems like the sweet spot for pricing is just about $600 for a NON-Celeron, Sempron, 1G, 160gb+ and 19" flat panel.

Dell.com is good if you don't know how to build a computer. Since I do, I'm building my own computer for Christmas. :)

I'm not real excited about Vista either. XP works fine. I think Vista is going to be a hard sell.
