I am sorry that we were unable to accept your application. Until very recently, MadAds Media did accept all sites (other than ones with content issues). However recently we have had issues getting interest from our demand partners for sites that are not ranked within Alexa's top 2 million. We will be making this known on our site very soon.
Having had experience as a publisher, I can certainly understand your frustration. I truly wish MadAds could accept all applications, but this is our reality.

noahdonish, apply to CPMfun, they will accept your site for sure - they don't have any traffic requirements, they recently accepted some more very small sites! After you are accepted, contact me here or send me a pm, I will tell you where to place your banners to get really big eCPM rates! :)

One very good tip I can give you (another website owner gave me this tip and I'm just passing it on - Its something ALL website owners should do, BTW) is to install the Alexa Toolbar; http://www.alexa.com/toolbar?utm_source=top-nav&utm_medium=www&utm_campaign=toolbar You will find that if you have the toolbar enabled every time your on your website you'll quickly move up the Alexa rankings.

As you've got video content on your website you could also try a video advertiser. I'd recommend www.Adstract.com AdStract is a video advertising network. You shouldnt have any problem being accepted. Once your accepted you need to get the 250 + 300 video overlay tag and you'll have video ad content sitting on top of your player. Check out my website: www.gavsweathervids.com for an idea of how the AdStract overlay ad works.

*Note with AdStract you get paid when a video ad is played or when someone makes a conversion (downloading software, signing up to something etc...) You don't get paid much for clicks or just for the ad being there. This network is all about PPV and conversions*

As for the rejections, don't take it to heart. I had a lot of rejection before I got involved with AdStract and MadAds. Its nothing personal, its just that a lot of ad networks are wary about taking on small publishers, especially in the current economic enviroment. Of course, until you get advertising its hard to really develop your website and get bigger, so its a catch 22, but there ARE still options for small publishers.

That said, I too was rejected by AdBrite and I felt I was spoken to like a piece of sh*t and it really upset me at the time. Interestingly, since I've been a member of this forum and I've done a lot of digging online, its turns out AdBrite really is nothing special anyway, so don't worry. Your certainly not missing out on anything with them.

Remember, unless you've got a very specific niche that you can tap into, building up a website and earning money from ads is a long term project. If you go into this not expecting to earn anything in the first year (infact you may come out at a loss in your first year, what with the costs involved in owning a website) but with a realistic expectation of where you might be in five or ten years, you won't be disappointed.

    Good luck. :)

What would happen if I run adSense ads? Can I run masadsmedia ads too or it violates adsense terms? I just recently got approved for adsense and I wouldn't like to be banned right away..

I don't think adsense has a problem with you using other ad networks

Thank you NeilPearson. I read that madadsmedia shows adSense ads too but I wasn't even sure about that. Also if it's true i thought that it could violate the terms.
I got approved for madadsmedia, and I was asked to place the privacy policy in which the google ads were mentioned so I got a little confused..

I just got paid too. I'm really happy with MadAdsMedia. They have been very consistent, their rates have been good and their ads have been clean.
