The comedy of your argument. Bush's spending was deficit spending, Obama's spending is stimulus spending. You must have been asleep for 2000,2001, and 2002. All kinds of interesting things happened. The Nasdaq went from 5000 to 1200. Some guys flew some planes into our financial hub. You can read about it at Wikipedia. Interesting stuff really. Oh, and Obama will tell you, "Spending is stimulus". No qualifiers.

Corwin's post was at least as factual as Earlpearl's, not that you would know the difference.

Yay! I have ruined Digital Point! Whats next? Perhaps I'm the guy who caused Ambassador Steven's death? Hey, maybe I'm the reason your wife left you! I certainly must be the guy who puts those counter factual statements in your posts. Perhaps I am the reason cats don't get along with dogs. Jews and Arabs, my fault too?

Here the argument is, "I can't defend what I say, so I feel like I am being driven away. Let me cry foul and see if I can win my point on a technicality". I'm not trying to be insulting when I use the word "pathetic". It is simply the most applicable word.

    10 hours. Am I late?

Expert tip #1 Just because you find my sarcasm insulting, does not mean I am insulting you.
Expert tip #2 Being called out for saying something dumb is also not an insult. You know, like when you say "religious fanaticism and propaganda are the only reasons Americans support Israel", on a topic you yourself acknowledge you know very little about.

Even psychos have to sleep occasionally but though it took you 10 hours to come back to your computer for another day of annoying people, it was barely 10 words into your response before you began misrepresenting my words. We do not speak your dialect of hillbilly, this is an English language forum, you must learn to read English and respond to what is written if you want to be taken seriously.

Maybe a second opinion or 2 would help. . . . . below are my words speaking of the Obama administration and referencing the budgetary parameters every incoming administration inherits from its predecessor. (I am describing an article linked to by Corwin)

This is the first sentence of your responding post. You begin misrepresenting my words and deriving from that an imaginary opinion in the FIRST FRIGGIN SENTENCE.

It can't just be me who sees this, I'll happy to take this example and put it up as a poll if it would help in any way to get you to stop ruining this forum.

As for the rest of your post . . . I am always reluctant to use the ignore utility but in your case, you have crossed the crap threshold a long time ago.

Aw, weren't you just saying something about the use of insults as arguments?

I'm still looking for the right movie quote, as "Run Forest Run" doesn't quite fit here. I'm torn between Jerry McGuire "Help me, to help you", or something a bit more dated.... "Help me Spock!!!". Hey, if it's any consequence, Popo gave you a green rep for honesty. Isn't that validation enough?

Ah the "ruining this forum" meme again. Didn't we already cover this?

As usual unable to respond. I think the ignore button was made specifically for cases like this. Think of it this way. By ignoring me completely, you will do a much better job of defending your posts than you are now. I recommend it.

Now that we've waded through the fluff, nonsense, whining, and crying, lets cover the claim. Misrepresentation of your words.

    1) Did you, or did you not, just try to differentiate stimulus spending from deficit spending? Yes or no will do nicely.
    2) Did you, or did you not, just try and attribute much of the bad "deficit spending" to Bush, while Obama is only guilty of the beneficial "stimulus spending" which I can only guess you think is somehow not deficit spending?

Christ man. Pick an argument and stick with it.

Yes, absolutely and I have provided a number of credible references breaking down this difference into real figures.

No, absolutely not. This is just another example of your fabricating imaginary opinions as you misrepresent the words of others, presumably through a lack of comprehension. The dialog you jumped into the middle of had established the differences between budgetary deficit spending (wars etc.), bailout packages and stimulus initiatives, as well as what portions of this spending was attributable to each of the Bush and Obama administrations. This Link as well as a number of others were used as reference.

So what the hell are you talking about?

With " 2 wars to pay for " Obama administration inherited a budget deficit from Bush. It's just hard to argue with a brick wall. (right wingers)

While I hate repeating myself, here goes:
You can't put things into separate categories only when it suits you. Obama's deficit without a budget has been near 1.5 trillion dollars for three years running. Bush's highest deficit was around a third of that. If you want to pick the $800bn stimulus out of that number, you get half of one years budget deficit under Obama, leaving him still hundreds of billions dollars deeper into "deficit spending" than Bush.

By the way, quoting factcheck.org these days has gotten to be nearly as bad as quoting the Daily KOS. They should revert to their actual name, "The Tampa Bay Times" to try and regain some credibility.

I've never seen so many people adhering to so much bullshit and so steadfast in that adherence, that they have created their own impenetrable reality. A reality impervious to facts or even common sense at times.

The Obama administration inherited a budget raised to deal with an exceptional economic situation for the first two years it the budget might have been justified . After that they keep the exceptionally high budget to suit their political needs . They did this with utmost impunity almost depriving the US of a budget during the last summer.

They refuse to apply even basic economics and that's why their got their ass kicked in the last House election. What change did they implement after that ? They increased their propaganda machine to a level rivaling China . It is somewhat amusing that even China doesn't exercise such a brutal pressure on the social media or on the artist community. Yet these limited minds pretend they offer equal rights and economic prosperity. Prosperity compared to who ? To Somalia ?

Then why don't you stop doing so? Repeating your clueless lies accomplishes nothing more than validating my contention that there are mental health issues at play here.

This is not my opinion: " . . .Bush's spending was deficit spending, Obama's spending is stimulus spending. . . " . . . this is nothing more than a another example of your mindless and completely fabricated bullshit.

I cannot help you with your reading impairment but until you post something that is actually representative of my words, do not expect a response from me. . . . though I imagine that after all of those countless hours you have spent in front of the computer waiting for someone to pounce on in a forum that you have ruined and which resultantly often resembles a ghost town . . . talking to yourself won't be anything new to you.

Gee, what can I say to such a well thought out and fact based reply. Run Forest, Run?

FYI, Gomeza, this is a Webmaster forum. The P&R section exists as a courtesy to members who cant help but talk politics, keeping the riff raff away from the primary business function of the forum. I might be going out on a limb here, but if anyone were actually able to turn the P&R section of this forum into a ghost down, they'd probably receive a thank you note from the management.

You might want to give The Daily Beast a try. It is full of clueless foreigners with strong but uninformed opinions on American politics, and unlike DP, politics is at the core of it's reason for existence. You should feel right at home with many voices feeding you back and validating your opinions.

Gomeza, you would be much better off if you simply admitted that you are out of your depth and do not understand any of the things you are attempting to argue.

This forum has been ruined by a self appointed left wing watch dog exhibiting signs of disturbing psychotic behavior. Even after multiple complaints by numerous individuals, he continues to misrepresent the words of others by twisting them to suit his worldview.

In any event, free for all antics like yours simply drive people away. . . now watch and see how long it takes for the self appointed lefty watch dog's disturbing psychotic behavior to manifest itself in a long acidic post laced with insults . . . last time it took just a few minutes.

Obama inherited somethng that he claims takes much longer than 4 years to fix. He's made it worse and wants people to believe he's going to make it better in another 4 years?

And..................... People believe are listening... How stupid and blind can people be?

I knew there was something impeding rudimentary comprehension but I wouldn't have guessed a language or cultural barrier.

So now you are suggesting the language and/or cultural barriers faced by Latinos in the US impede their rudimentary comprehension? Sounds racist to me. Not surprising.

Not forgetting the GFC and worldwide recession the current administration has had to deal with.

The current world's best Treasurer has this to say about the future of America's economic situation.

""Let's be blunt and acknowledge the biggest threat to the world's biggest economy are the cranks and crazies that have taken over a part of the Republican Party."

That would be the Tea Party element.
